I took a deep breath in and slowly let it out.
It was the first time I had gotten fresh air in a long time.
Pan stood a few feet away, as if making sure I wouldn't make a break for it.
But to tell you the truth, I was already looking for an exit.
I could tell we weren't in the enchanted forest anymore, and every once in a while, I heard something that I couldn't quite make out.
It sounded mean, and not human.
"What's that noise?" I whispered.
"What noise?" Pan asked.
"That honking."
He smiled devilishly. "You are no longer in your time. It's the year 2015, and you are on planet Earth, otherwise known as. The real world."
"That doesn't answer my question." I muttered.
"The so called honking you are hearing? It's called a car. People in this realm use them to get around instead of horses."
I wrinkled my nose. "You took me to another realm."
"Yes love I did."
"And what kind of animal are these 'cars'?"
Pan laughed. "Alanna, you really are stupid....cars are made from metal."
"Like what swords are made of?"
He nodded.
"How can that move?"
"Not magic, that's for sure" pan looked at his nails.
"Can you show me?" I asked, testing the waters.
He shook his head. "I can't trust you yet. You might hijack one and get away."
"What do you want from me?" I groaned.
He chuckled. "Your magic. But that can wait a little while."
I sighed. "Just take it, and let me go home."
"All in good time love. Now, let me show you around what these people call, a 'city'."
