Dressed in one of Xion's shirts, I walked from the bathroom into our bedroom where he was. Laying with his back against the headboard he smiled at me. Still feeling post orgasmic effects, I refused to meet his eyes, lest we end up where we were just coming from. Needing to distract myself from thinking of his sex I bring up important matters.

"I really don't like the idea of people trying to kill you." I fussed as I climbed back into our bed.
"It's the only way they can successfully overthrow me. Vampire tradition, unlike that of wolves, demons and warlocks stipulates that the reigning king must be killed for a new person to take the throne."

"Vampires are so violent." I rolled my eyes.

"Says Aurora." He deadpanned. " Tradition is tradition, my father killed his father, and I was expected to kill my father."

"But you didn't... because Xander did it first."

"Yes. And I killed Xander." He seemed to be distant in thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?"

" I had no intentions of coming back for the throne. Xander had killed my father when I was quiet young. I had to sneak out of this very castle to save myself. All along he had thought I was dead. Not long after I got out, I met Conner. And we spent decades together. Two young boys without a home or family. We taught each other to survive. It was not until the day of your birth that I decided to come back for the throne, Two hundred years ago."

"I made you come back?"

"The morning you were born I had dreamt of you as most vampires do when their fated comes into the world. My Aurora was a princess and would deserve to become a Queen so I came back to ensure I could give you that life."

"Oh." Was all I could say as he gave me a soul shaking grin and kissed my temple.

"Do you expect our child to kill you?"

"Mmhhm. I love to hear the words "our child" coming from your mouth. The very thought of you pregnant has me so aroused I could take you again right now." He sighed composing himself, "A prince is expected to slay the king to gain the respect of the kingdom."

"Well, that may prove to be a problem." I shrugged. "You are after all an immortal"
Astonished Xion turned to me with wide eyes.

"How so?"

"Were you not wondering why that intruder was terrified of looking into my eyes? Had it not occurred to you that merely being an enchantress would not have been so important that I would be dubbed the most powerful witch to ever live?" I asked him.

"You are quite powerful, and your familiar is fascinating as well."

"Thank you. Still, the true reason I am the most powerful is far deeper than green mist and glowing eyes or even the four tailed beast." Turning to face him, I tried not to get distracted by how handsome I found him. "The real reason I'm so powerful is because when I enchant someone through the use of my eyes looking directly into theirs, I gain eternal control over their soul. I can prevent you from dying if I'm alive, I could bring your soul back if you died. I'm a witch who has power over the greatest essence of who people truly are. I have access to their most precious feature. I'm a monster..."
