"liam!" nini shouts as she watches him get on his boat

the boy turns and looks at nini "hey-what's-"

"did you see him?!" she asks quickly

liam raises his eyebrows "you might want to be more specific-"

"ricky!" she exclaims "ricky-did you see him-?"

liam thinks about who had come to the port before his eyes widen in realization

"crap!" he breathes as he jumps off of the boat "i-"

"liam-"

"yes-well-i didn't know it was him, but he got on a boat-"

nini sighs in frustration as she runs back the other way

"where are you going?!" he yells after her

"to get a better view!" she answers as she runs as fast as her feet could take her to the light house a few meters away

she pants and feels her heart beating out of her chest as she rushes up the stairs to the top of the tall tower

when she arrived at the top, she rushes to the railing and her eyes scan desperately until they stop on a boat that was heading to an island-

but it wasn't the mainland

it was the island that liam had taken her to a few days ago

she let out a breath of relief as she quickly ran back down the stairs and back to the port, seeing liam looking at her with worry

"what are you doing?" he asks in surprise as he watches nini prepare a smaller boat

"i'm going to that island-"

"you don't even know how to sail!" he exclaims

"how hard can it be?" she questions as she jumps into the boat

"nini, let me take you-"

"no." she states as she shakes her head "you have a flight to get to, i'm going to do this."

"are you crazy?!"

"there isn't time to argue about this right now liam! do you really have a better idea for the both of us to get what he want?!" she breathes

the boy takes a deep breath as he looks at her for a few seconds, seeing the determination in her eyes, knowing that she wasn't going to let this go.

he swallows and nods "just be careful."

nini takes a deep breath and nods with a small smile before she starts to move the boat

she continues to direct the boat as best as she could to the island and kept feeling her breathing and heart rate quicken as she saw the larger boat come to a stop at the island

she looks down at the wooden boat and sighs "come on, please." she says under her breath

the boat continues to move and jumps up as it hits the larger waves and nini looks up at the sky.

she hadn't noticed that it wasn't great whether today, but she honestly didn't care.

she needed to get to ricky.

as the boat comes closer and closer to the island, she sees a small figure of the curly-haired boy seated on the beach

nini widens her eyes when she hears something crack and loses her grasp on the rope, the boat suddenly out of her control

"no, no, no-"

she tries to take back the tiller and tries to drive the boat into the right direction but the waves were so big and the current was so strong that she crashed into a stone edge

"ricky!"

the boy looked up in confusion at the faint sound of his name, noticing something brown next to a large rock further ahead

"ricky!"

his eyes widen and his heart stops when he sees the wooden boat crashing into the stone rock, seeing a glimpse of the brunette girl's terrified face

without a thought, he takes his jacket off, leaving only his t-shirt and trousers on him as he runs into the sea and swims as fast as he could towards her

nini continued to panic, not noticing that ricky was arriving towards her as she starts feeling the water rise up and her fear increasing inside of her

she looks up and gasps as she sees the sail rip and the wind was blowing wildly around her

another loud crack is heard right next to her and the pole - previously holding the sail, was now slowly bending towards her, a scream escaping her before she feels a large weight of it being hit at the top of her head, the girl falling into the ocean as the cold water and darkness consumed her.
