nini arrived at the set of where ricky's tv-show was being filmed and she quickly got out of the car
tomorrow was going to be his surprise birthday and she was inviting some of his friends from set, as well as visiting him to see how he was doing
when she walks in, she hears silence apart from music playing further in the room
she hears ricky's voice and smiles instantly, taking a few steps closer to where it was coming from
she stops when she sees ricky sitting with a guitar as he plays with quinn next to him
they were in the middle of filming a scene and nini felt her stomach turn as she saw quinn look at ricky a certain way.
she starts fiddling with her charm bracelet before hearing the director yell 'cut' and ricky and quinn let out a breath
"that was pretty good." ricky smiles as he puts his guitar away
"yeah, we make a good team." the girl says
ricky laughs before his eyes shift to nini standing further away
"neens!" he exclaims as he stands up quickly and rushes over to her
nini puts a smile on her face as he gives her a quick kiss and hugs her
"what are you doing here?" he asks
she giggles "i wanted to see you while you work."
nini's eyes shift to the blonde-haired girl who came to ricky's side with a tight smile
"hi, i'm quinn," she says as she folds her arms
nini feels something inside of her that definitely wasn't right with this girl, but she keeps the smile on her face and nods
"i'm nini, it's nice to meet you."
ricky gets called over by the director to go over the next scene and he looks at the brunette girl
"go!" she laughs as he quickly kisses her cheek and runs off, leaving the two girls alone together
they didn't really talk, they mostly just avoided each other's gaze, keeping their small ground.
nini clears her throat "uh-so, how's the writing with ricky?"
quinn raises an eyebrow "it's good."
she nods "uh-it's his birthday tomorrow. i-i was wondering if you would want to come to his surprise party- with a few of the other cast- that me and a few of our friends are throwing for him?"
of course nini didn't actually want quinn there. something was off with her and she could tell by her attitude that she liked ricky. it was obvious.
but nini also knew that ricky was friends with her, so she decided to try and push her worries away and be the bigger person
quinn nods "i'll be there." she says with a smile
nini looks over to see ricky coming back with his bag
"hey, so i'm done for the day, you want to go and get some food?" he asks her
nini nods "sure."
ricky turns to say goodbye to quinn before taking nini's hand and the two walking towards the elevator, the brunette girl feeling a pair of eyes burning into the back of her head with every step she took
