"Paris got a date!"

I turned around to see Rory standing with Paris behind me with wide grins on their faces. Rory had on a floral print dress with a white cardigan on. Paris had a dark brown dress with a black blazer over her shoulders. As they stood together it was a nice contrast between the two.

We were all currently in a hall with tables lined with food and desserts. The place was filled with multiple politicians and students from other schools. This was our time to talk with them and find out all about the scary world of politics. Paris as usual was scaring them away.

I turn to Paris with a smirk. "Paris got a date?" I repeat excitedly.

"Don't look too shocked," she snapped sarcastically.

I ignore her comment and turn to Rory. "Who was it?"

"Jamie, remember him?"

"Good going." I praised Paris. "He's cute."

She turned to me with a scowl. "Hands off," she tell me sternly as I put my hands up in defence. "Don't you have your own guy back home?"

Rory jumps back into the conversation with a teasing smirk. "Yeah, how is Loverboy doing?"

I groan and try to get away from them by walking towards the drinks table. It was no use as they both just followed me. "You two have got to stop." I fill up two cups before handing one to Paris and Rory each.

"I think it's safe to say I will never stop," Rory begins as I pour a cup of punch for myself. "Since the last time you liked a guy we were nine and that was just gross."

Paris casts us both a confused look. "What was so gross about that."

"Maybe cause we had a teeny tiny age gap," I told her as I put my thumb and forefinger centimetres apart.

"Teeny tiny?" Rory exclaimed not believing what I had said. I took a sip of my drink to avoid her gaze. "He was seventeen!"

"Seventeen?" Paris repeats in astonishment.

I finished off my drink before speaking again. "Hush you two, who's your final debate partners?" I ask trying to change the subject to spare me from more embarrassment.

Paris' cheeks heated up. "Jamie," she mumbled.

"A match made in heaven," I commented. "Ror?"

"I got Bryan Adams," she tells me.

I nod my head, not understanding how she got the famous signer. "Sure and I got Kate Winslet," I joke.

She sighs before rephrasing her words. "I'm not kidding, that's the guys name. It's probably not the Bryan Adams, just another guy with the same name."

"Damn, I really wanted my cd signed." I say.

"Who's your partner?" Paris asked curiously as I simply shrug.

"I was hoping it'd be one of you, but I guess not." I started. "I better go check."

Before I could make a move toward the notice board I heard someone from behind me speak. "No need," the voice said. "Howdy, Partner."

I sigh out in annoyance. "You have got to be kidding me," I mutter before turning around.

In front of me stood Benjamin Barclay, the most annoying person on earth. He had dark wavy hair and cold grey eyes. He wore a suit like most other guys here. He would've been good looking if it weren't for his crooked nose.

The worst thing about him was that he thought he was better than me at everything. It didn't help that he was also trying to get into Yale. No doubt he would, with his fancy last name and family money.
