I was terrified.

Luke's driving was scary as hell. He wasn't a terrible driver. Okay..... nevermind he was. Luke drove way faster than he should and slammed way too hard on the brakes. It didn't help that I was still a little terrified of being in cars since my accident.

"Luke? Are we almost there?" I asked him as he slammed on his brakes yet again. How the hell did this kid get his license?

"Yeah in a few minutes." He told me.

My phone buzzed for the third time in a minute. I glanced at Luke quickly before unlocking it.

Brody: I just landed 😞

Brody: some kid kept kicking my seat on the flight.

Brody: his dad was huge like the rock so I kept my mouth shut lol

I smiled and replied to his texts.

Me: good thinking lol

I locked my phone and set it in my lap. Brody and I had been texting back and forth up to when he left for school. I got a chance to tell him goodbye and I was really upset that he was leaving.

"Who are you talking to?" Luke asked me.

"No one." I lied.

I could tell that he didn't believe me though. It was silent as he drove us to this secret location.

It seemed like we were in the middle of nowhere. The sun was getting ready to set and it wasn't as hot outside. I wore a sundress with some sandals and threw my hair into a ponytail since I didn't know where we were going.

I was hesitant to come with Luke. He did lie to me and I couldn't just forgive him so easily. I didn't trust him and how could you be friends with someone that you didn't trust?

"We're here." Luke announced snapping me out of my thoughts.

I looked out the window and saw we were in a clearing. There was a trampoline and some abandoned cars.

"What is this place?"

"This is the place were we would hang out and get wasted." He grinned as he got out of the car and walked over to open my door. I thanked him when he did and followed him out to the trampoline.

He hopped on and offered me a hand. I looked at him before I gave him my right hand. He helped me up and I stumbled a little. I wondered if I had a trampoline when I was younger.

"It's okay, I got you." Luke told me.

"Thanks." I mumbled. I sat down on the trampoline and he followed suit. Luke lied down and placed his head in my lap. I was a little surprised by his actions since he knew I was upset but this was Luke. He was a very cuddly person.

"So why did you bring me here?" I asked him as I looked around.

"Me and you along with the other guys used to come out here a lot. We found it one day just driving around. We would bring a few beers and just hang out until it was time to go home." He explained.

"Sounds..... fun." I chuckled.

"It was a lot more fun back then. You were really funny when you would get drunk. We would blast music and you would start dancing on the hood of that car over there." He pointed to an old red Mustang. I couldn't picture myself doing that but I guess I was a completely different person back before my accident.

"Did anyone join me or was I up there looking silly by myself?" I asked him.

He smiled a little, "No, me or Calum always joined you."

"That's nice to know." I touched his hair without realizing that I shouldn't. I saw him look up at me and I moved my hand.

"Oh crap. I left my phone in my car." I said once I realized that it wasn't around.

Luke lifted himself up and sat facing away from me, "Expecting a text from your boyfriend?"

I rolled my eyes, "He isn't my boyfriend, Luke."

"I see the way you act when you are around him or even get a text from him."

"Can you at least look at me while you talk to me?" I snapped pissed that we were having this conversation again.

Luke turned and sat so that he was looking at me, "What is there to talk about?"

"I'm so tired of you getting upset that Brody and I are friends. That's all that we are. Friends. I'm allowed to be friends with other guys without you getting all butt hurt about it!"

"I know what his intentions are, (Y/n)! He wasn't a nice guy then and he probably still isn't a nice guy!"

I moved away from him needing my space. I got off the trampoline, "You can't tell me who I can and cannot talk to just because we dated in the past. What makes you think that you can?"

"Because I fucking love you, (Y/n)!" Luke shouted and I never saw him this angry before. It was frightening but I knew that he would never hurt me. He wasn't that kind of guy.

"I love you so much that it hurts my soul. Seeing someone else make you happy even if you guys are just friends pisses me off. I know that you are still mad at me and I know that you don't trust me but I want to change things. I want to show you that I am someone you can trust."

I honestly didn't know what I should do. Should I forgive Luke and the other guys and have things go back to how they were?

Or should I move on?

I looked into his beautiful blue eyes and saw that he truly was sorry. I just wished that he would've never lied to me. Things would be so different.

"I don't know what to do Luke." I whispered.

He moved over to the edge of the trampoline and swung his legs over. He grabbed my hand and drew me closer to him.

Before I could move, he wrapped his legs around me, "Do what you think feels right."

Luke moved some hair out of my eyes and cupped my cheek with his hand. I leaned into it and he looked at my lips before he pressed his lightly against mine.

It felt just as good as the first time we kissed. Well, the first time that I knew of back in New York. When Luke kissed me it was gentle and like it was barely happening. But I knew that it was by the way I was feeling. I placed one of my hands on his shoulders and the other one was on the back of his head.

"I missed doing this." He said between kisses.

I couldn't help but smile a little, "So did I."

"Can I take you out on a proper date? One that doesn't involve us yelling or abandoned cars." He chuckled before placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

"That would be nice. I was a little frightened when you brought me here." I admitted.

"This place has a lot of memories. I wondered if it could jog your memory." He said as he unlocked me from his hold and got off the trampoline.

I was getting discouraged. My memories weren't back and I wondered if they ever would.

Luke held my hand as we walked back to his car. He opened my door and I got inside. The first thing I did was check my phone.

Brody: sooooo I haven't been home a whole day and I already miss you xx

Brody: what are you up to? 😁
