CHAPTER 25

OUTER BANKS
episode 10: THE PHANTOM
part 1

"where are we gonna stay?" jj asked,

"we can stay at the wreck, overnight until john b leaves, and then we'll go from there," kiara said driving them to the wreck.

the got in and decided to go straight to bed.

ren was laying in jj's arms but she couldn't sleep, she got up and walked to a table and sat down looking out the window, alone.

well, she was alone until pope came by and sat next to her, she leant her head on his shoulder,

"ren?" he asked to which she hummed back, "can i tell you something?" he asked

"of course, what is it?" she turned to him instead of laying on his shoulder,

"i told kiara i loved her earlier," pope admitted, ren's face grew a smile,

"really? oh my god! yay!" she laughed,

"no it's uh, it's not what you think, she actually um," he started but ren knew where this was going so she saved him the trouble and just hugged him,

"i'm so sorry pope, i really am," she whispered,

"i just, i love her so much man, and she doesn't love me back," pope cried,

"i know, i know," she whispered to him,

soon pope fell asleep in ren's arms but ren still couldn't get to sleep, she placed pope down carefully and walked back to where her and jj slept, and fell asleep, finally.

the next morning ren woke up alone, without jj next to her, she got up and looked around, spotting jj staring out the window,

"morning, baby," she hugged him,

"hey," he said kissing the top of her head,

"morning guys," pope said from behind them,

"mornin'" they said at the same time.

soon kiara was awake as well and they were all discussing everything,

"he's pinched for sure, man," jj said sadly,

"no. they wouldn't still be patrolling if they caught him," pope denied,

"let's hope," ren sighed,

"you know, we were in that car. they're probably looking for us, too." kiara said,

"well if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help john b," pope said walking away.

"so, find him before they do?" ren asked watching him pick up jj's bike's keys.

"pope?" jj asked

"i'm gonna get gas for the boat," he said walking closer to the door,

"hey, you be careful," kiara warned him softly,

but he ignored her and turned to ren and jj, "meet me at the dock at three. don't be late," he then walked out.
