OUTER BANKS
episode 5: MIDSUMMERS

ren was sitting in her jail cell when peterkin walked in,

"come on, we need to talk," she said and walked to the other room to which ren sat down opposite her.

"you can never get enough of this place can you?" the sherif asked her

"i guess not," ren shrugged

"let's see what you've did this time." she opened the thing and ren smirked a little,

"felony distruction of property, and look u know your little teen brain doesn't like to think ahead, but i want you to come with me to uncharted territory. the future, now tell me, how you gonna feel six months from now sitting in juvenile prison in Wadesboro?" she asked

ren just shrugged and looked down,

"you know these two?" peterkin asked placing two papers in front of her, with the men who shot at them on the boat. the men who invaded the chateau. bleeding. dead.

"yeah i uh i know them, they invaded john b's house, quick question why- why are they all bloody?" she pointed to the marks.

"somebody gaffed them. then used them for chum. whatcha think? bull shark?" peterkin taunted

ren's breath got caught up and she started to feel sick so she looked away from peterkin and the papers.

"well here's the bad news chief. whoever killed these two men, is still out there, and i got a reason to believe their next target is a friend of yours..." she said which made ren's eyes widen

"john - john b?" she asked

"john b. exactly. you kids don't think your the only ones after the royal merchant now, do you?" she asked "oh yeah, i know about that too," she said

"look, we're - he's not on it anymore. i'll admit we were, but there was no luck we're done with it!" ren stammered over her words.

"so you say! i'm just trying to keep him safe," she said

"i am too! he's my best friend i would never let anything happen to him," ren argued

"well your not doing a very good job, are you?" she asked which made ren stay silent.

peterkin left the room without saying another word and came back without the papers and brought ren out of the room, to find her father, jj's dad and jj.

her dad had a hatred look on his face, jj's dad didn't seem that mad but you could tell he was angry.

"ren," her dad said

"are you her father?" the police officer asked

"sadly, yes," her father answered

"okay well hearing will be in two weeks." she said,

ren looked over at jj who looked away from her.

"dad - i'm-" she started

"i don't wanna hear a word from you. understand me?" he raised his voice a little to which ren nodded and looked away.
