CHAPTER 12

OUTER BANKS
episode 4: SPY GAMES
part 1

"it's the royal merchant," john b smiled making ren smile and laugh a little,

after she hugged jj she walked back to the screen and watched pope move the screen around to look for the gold.

everybody smiles turned to frowns once they couldn't find the gold,

"it's not there. look, just - just pull the drone up," john b sighed

"oh man," ren threw her beer can to the side before re-joining jj at the cabin.

"hey, it's not there," ren hugged him,

"serious?" jj asked

"yep, nothing" she sighed again before walking back out,

"look we can recharge the battery, we can - we can go back down," pope was trying his best to make everything better,

"look guys we've been through it three times, there's nothing there!" jj yelled

"shut up!" kiara yelled loudly at him,

"what? it's true!" jj yelled back

"he's right," ren said

"shut up ren!" kiara yelled at her aswell to which ren just scoffed

"the gold could be buried. we don't know!" kiara yelled at jj,

"if it was there, it would've been found on the metal, detecter, okay?" john b sighed madly, "somebody beat us to it," he accepted fate.

"man!" ren sighed

"or it was never there," jj disagreed.

everybody on the way back was extremely annoyed and upset with this outcome so nobody really talked apart from jj and ren to eachother.

they decided to go to the wreck since john b wanted to be alone at the chateau,

"i can't believe this," ren sat down at a table,

"i can, come on did you really believe it was there ren?!" jj sat down with her,

"i don't know- or - or i didn't know what i believed, it was too much," ren sighed running a hand through her hair,

"here," kiara sat down the food and everybody started to eat

"so, pope where would it be?" kiara asked.

"well, i'm not that sure to be honest, it was on the map. that was where it was supposed to be," pope pointed out,

"oh well, it's over now," ren said a mouth full of food.

"gross," kiara said before walking back to the kitchen.

later on in the day, ren and jj were hanging out in jj's backyard, and by hanging out they mean shooting a poor teddy bear for "practice"

"what was that?" jj asked before shooting another bullet

"you just touch my girl?" ren giggled at this one as her boyfriend shot at the bear,
