Tonight, you've given me a light.

You've given me a chance to burn bright.

You've given me a place.

A place where I know I'll be safe.

Before you, I felt like a fading shadow,

But now, my past seems so long ago.

You've met the newer me.

A girl I'm very proud to be.

But you should know my story.

And in the end, you'll be sorry.

It's sad that you had to find out this way,

That I'm not the girl that everyone thought was as clear as day.

I have a past that is dark and brutal,

I promise no more lies, I'll be truthful.

I've seen a dark place like no other,

A suffocating steal chamber.

No one is perfect, I already knew.

But I've worked hard to be perfect for you.

Take me as who I am, but don't let go.

All I need now, is for you to be my hero.

Random poem actually. I'm using it for my seventh chapter of Falling in Love With Music and I just thought I might as well put it in my poetry book too. Hope you enjoyed.
