I stopped at my room first to change clothes. If I was going to have one last sexy time adventure with Pita I wanted to wear something more appropriate. I found the thin, silk nightie hanging in the closet and quickly changed into it.

I checked myself in the mirror. I wasn’t wearing anything underneath and the nightie left little to the imagination. It was perfect.

I opened my door and crept down the hall to Pita’s room. It was getting late so I was the only one in the hallway. I knocked lightly at his door. I heard a commotion from inside the room, but he didn’t answer. I knocked harder.

After waiting for a few minutes, Pita finally cracked the door open. He looked shocked to see me standing there.

“Katlick,” he said, peeking behind him into the room. “What are you doing here?”

I gave him my secret smile – the do-me now look.

“I thought I’d stop by and see if you needed some company,” I purred.

His eyes lowered over my body.

“I’m kinda busy right now,” he started say.

“Who is it?” a girl’s voice called from inside the room. My pulse tripled before he could blink.

“Oh, hell no,” I said, pushing the door open.

Pita tried to hold the door closed but I was so pissed off that I managed to shove it wide open. Rabbitfoot was standing behind Pita. She was holding a towel to cover her naked body.

“Pita?” I mumbled.

He looked at Rabbitfoot and then back to me. I wanted to smack him. I wanted to kill Rabbitfoot. I wanted to do a lot of things but I just stood there. Numb.

“Katlick,” Pita said softly. “I didn’t think you liked me.”

I shook my head at him slowly.

“You’re right, Pita,” I said. “I don’t think I like you anymore.”

“Ahem,” a man’s voice sounded from the hall. “Did someone request a real man?”

I turned around and thought I would faint. The most beautiful thing I’d ever seen was standing in the hallway. Gavin, holding a dozen roses.

“Gavin. . .”

He handed me the flowers.

“I’m so proud of you,” he said, leaning in to hug me. I threw my arms around him with a squeal.

“I can’t believe you’re really here,” I cried.

“Of course I’m here,” he said. “I couldn’t miss the celebration.”

Pita put his hand on my shoulder.

“Katlick,” Pita said. “Rabbitfoot was just on her way out. Please stay.”

I turned around to face him. I was too excited about Gavin to be mad at Pita. He was just a silly boy from District 12. I was just a silly girl from District 12. A really rich silly girl.

“Come here,” I told him. Pita stepped forward. I gave him a long hug. “Thank you for everything, Pita. I had an amazing time with you in the arena.”

“Me too,” he said.

“But right now,” I said, “I’m about to get 50 shades of Gavin. Take care.”

Pita’s jaw dropped as I grabbed Gavin’s hand and left the room.
