"This Dean dude sounds serious" Alissa whispered from the cafeteria table, I nodded "yeah, he gave me the creeps, I just wish I knew what his advancements where" I huffed. Alissa nodded with a smirk
"They gotta have some heavy duty stuff if they want to mess with us" Alissa grinned. I nodded and looked at her "dad made me an interesting offer" I told, Alissa looked at me "yeah what was that"
"He said that I could stay with him, till or when mum gets a transfer" I told.
Alissa nodded wearily "it sounds great, how, how long will you be gone if you choose to leave" she asked. I shrugged
"Well the trial period is two weeks and if that goes well, I'll be home schooled for the rest of the year" I explained. Alissa was instantly saddened
"Oh don't go sappy, I'll visit, speedy remember" I grinned. Alissa nodded and looked at Jenkins as she looked over the cafeteria, Jenkins saw her and approached us with a cruel glare "Steele next time your farther comes to town and inspects the school for dangerous material, please make sure he replaces the microwave he took for safety purposes" Jenkins asked.
I starred at her "well do miss" I smiled, Jenkins walked away and I starred at Alissa "dude, the microwave, that can't be good" I scream whispered
"Na da Fred" Alissa huffed. I banged my head on the table repeatedly
"Why can't this be simple, it's like a cruel being is writing a life where I can't have dam fun with my gifts" I huffed. Alissa starred at me
"Dude chill, it's all gonna pan out" she smiled.
I was sitting in science during last period, Alissa wasn't in my class and my teacher hasn't taught us a proper lesson since she started working her so I was bored out of my mind. My Bunsen Burner was flaming away so I placed my hand on the flame, it stung and burnt and I could practically smell my skin burn but it wasn't the worst thing I've felt. I was so mesmerises by the flame that I didn't realise someone was standing beside me, he dropped his books and I flung around to see Jaxon "oh hi, um, you, you wanted to sit down, err, hi" I said slowly regaining my brain.
He laughed and sat down on the stool beside me, I looked down at my palm and saw the scorched skin heal. Jaxon had followed my gaze "that must get useful" he smirked, I looked up "yeah, especially when your thrown onto about twenty javelins" I grinned. He rolled his eyes
"That was an accident, I said I was sorry" he huffed
"I'm only messing with you" Jaxon relaxed.
An silence was washed between, Jaxon starred at Nash who was reading through a science text book "why is it that she is such a know it all, oooh, school is so fun" he asked. I starred at him "did I miss something" I asked. He nodded
"Sorry, referring to Cap's thoughts" he told, I punched him on the arm
"Ow what was that for" he asked
"No Skills remember, on the down low" I hissed.
He cursed under his breath "sorry, it's hard, been using them since the maths test, kinda copied you mentally by the way" he admitted. I went back on the memory
"Oh yeah, I remember a buzzing feeling in my skull, I just thought it was from the day before" I smiled
"What happened the day before" he asked curiously
"Oh, I died trying to do a double 360 backflip, yeah, didn't work out that well" I grinned.
He nodded "uh huh, oh god" he yelled in disgust, I glared at him after I felt a buzz in my head "Hey, let's get something straight, you don't, on any circumstances get to know my thoughts, or else" I snapped. He nodded
"Cool, does that extend to Nash" he asked, I starred at the book worm and scrunched my nose "go for it" I huffed.
Well laughed a little bit and continued a conversation till the bell had rung, we walked out together and I looked around trying to find Alissa "where is she" I asked my self. We both walked out of the school together, me cruising on my board and Jaxon walking beside me. I was going to pull out my phone till I saw a black car roll up a few meters ahead of us. I dragged Jaxon into the bushes as a guy wearing weird glasses shot at thin air but hit something.
Alissa fell to the ground visible and shaking, I was going to yell but Jaxon covered my mouth as two more people grabbed her and they all drove away. I was going to run after them but Jaxon held me back "dude what are you doing, they got Alissa" I yelled. He nodded "Yeah I saw that too, but what are you going to do, run after them, get shot and captured, no we need a plan" he told. I nodded as much as I wanted to go after Alissa he was right "we meet at the skate park, oh god" I slapped my face as Nash ran to us "guys Alissa is gone I just saw her in this car" she started.
I nodded "took you long enough, you'd might wanna improve your timing, since you've let me die and her get kidnapped" I snapped. Nash raised an eyebrow "actually I saw her in the back window of a car and get stabbed in the neck with a needle on my way home, I saw you go this way so yeah" she countered. I was silent "err sorry, look you find Sam and meet me and him at the Skate Park ok" I told. She nodded and walked away, I turned to Jaxon
"want to walk with me" I asked, he starred at me "yeah, sounds great, not cause of the circumstances, but" Jaxon started to blush and I rolled my eyes "come on" I groaned as we walked to the skate park.
