7: Wow Wow Wow

"Your dad said what" Jaxon asked, I asked for the five of us to meet at the skate park after school so I could fill them in "something about plasmic spikes, look if we get down to it the government obviously knows something is up, something like last week five teens get superpowers" I told. Nash was scared, defiantly the most freaked out of all of us "I can't have this happen now, yes I want this curse gone but I don't want the government involved" she told.

I nodded "ok, well let's start off with destroying all the evidence, Sam burn all of the tapes" I told only to get cut off
"Tapes what tapes" Nash asked. Alissa and I starred at Sam and he us
"Well we kinda got bored so"
"We recorded our selves using out powers, really cool actually, found out some new stuff about each other" Sam finished for Alissa.

Nash slapped her head "I have no idea how your so content with you powers, anyway continue Denny" she said
"Ok then, anyway you destroy evidence and we take a pact not to use any powers till I say it's safe" I explained
"Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, why should we trust you" Jaxon exclaimed
"Well for one my dad works for the government, for two without me you'd still be using your little gift and then get caught, don't tell me you don't use them, I know you used them, so are we all gonna agree or is this gonna end up in a fight that I know I will win" I asked.

"Whys that, cause you can heal" Nash asked
"No cause I took Kickboxing lessons from five and continued till I was fourteen" told. Nash went pale "so we all agree, good, now I have to ride home at a normal pace" I huffed while walking away.

Twenty minuets later I got to the front door, I was expecting to see dad home but nope. I walked to the kitchen and saw a note "hey Denny Girl, sorry, had work stuff, will be back in a few hours, love dad" it said. I crumpled it and trick shotted it into the bin, mum was at work so I had the house to my self.

I ran to my room and checked the recorded footage I had, most of it was boring my dad left for a little while and got back in about half an hour. He was going to relax on the couch till someone knocked at the door. Dad let them in, it was a military man that would put fear into your soul. He had broad triangular shoulders and a blonde buzz cut, he wore a suit but had dog tags around his neck and was more tanned than a old surfer dude "Frank, what are you doing here" dad asked
"You know why Steele, where's the data" Frank asked.

Dad walked away and grabbed his laptop, after typing some stuff he turned the screen "inconclusive currently, the signal lead to the high school" my dad told "Steel I'm not hearing an worth my while reason on why your data is inconclusive" Frank huffed. Dad closed his laptop
"look Frank, that's a school, I'm not going to run tests while kids are there" my dad told, he glared at Frank but that didn't phase the monster of a man "Steele, you better have some data by 5 at night or I will find another scientist to do the research and I will take a farther away from a wife and daughter, you hear me" Frank asked.

My dad nodded in defeat "I'll head out now sir" he told
"Good, I'll see you at five, on the dot" the man told while walking out. Dad rubbed his temples and walked into his study to get supplies.

My heart jumped into my throat when I heard the door bell ring, I looked at my watch and saw it was 10 to 5:00. I ran down stairs at a normal pace and opened the door to see Frank, I tried to play it cool "hey dude, what's up" I asked
"Is your farther home" he asked. I shrugged
"His our right now, some science stuff, more of a skater my self, he'll be back soon though" I grinned.

"Would you mind if I come in" he asked, I nodded
"Sure dude" I shrugged. I let him in and he sat at the dining table, someone opened the front door and my dad stepped in with papers, he saw me and his eyes widened "ahh Denny, I see you've met Mr Dean, your mother is late with shopping so how about you brush up on home work" dad said.

I nodded "err yeah, sure, nice to meet you Mr Dean" I smiled while going up the stairs, my door was opened and I closed it, I ran to my laptop and listened in "-the spikes have the correct amount of ionising cells that could result in the affect" dad said. Mr Dean nodded "good, we think we have advancements as well, I will send you the report tomorrow" he told. Dad nodded
"Well I best be leaving, oh lovely daughter you have John" Frank smiled while walking out of the house.

I walked down stairs and saw dad breathe a sigh of relief "sup" I smiled. Dad grinned and looked at me "mum just texted me, she's here in five minuets, traffic is a nightmare" dad told
"Sweet, so anything interesting" I asked. Dad shook his head
"Not really, hey Denny, I might be leaving again soon" dad told. I starred at him "You just got back" I yelled
"Denny it's important, I am working"
"Yeah yeah, for the government, I know" I told while walking off.

I slammed my door and saw a CD disk on my bed, I popped it into the DVD player and saw it was my power tests. It's one thing to actually die and come back, another to watch it. I turned it off and and starred at the disk, how on earth did it get here. I grabbed a lighter I kept for pranks and held it on the disk, it crackled and sizzled. My hands got hot and started to burn as I held the surface.

I heard a knock at my door and I hid the CD under my pillow "yeah" I said, dad walked in and sat on my bed "Den I know you hate me going, honestly I get it, your mother and I were talking yesterday and we were thinking since mum can't transfer from the hospital so until she can you come and live with me" dad proposed. I froze "live with you, in Washington, dad that's, huge" I stammered.

Dad nodded "yeah I know, but it wouldn't be for very long, a few months" he said smiling his pale green eyes at me. I starred at him with the my forestry orbs "I get it, you need time to think, I'll see you soon kiddo" he grinned while walking out. I huffed and looked at my well done CD and chucked it to the other side of the room and let go of a breath.
