Katniss Pov

*6 days later*

I wake up full of joy I start pocking peeta cheek when his eyes flutter open and he pulls me close to him "happy birthday to my favouite wife ever" he wispers in my ear. I pull back a little "you favourite wife I thought I was you only wife" I pretend to say angrily but it is very hard. He presses his lips to mine and I don't want to pull away. "you are my only wife but you are still my favourite." Soon the kids come running in "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY." They yell. " do you want to go and get the presents to give to mummy ." asks Peeta "ok" shouts willow excitedly I love her so much but she can be very loud and I think peeta was thinking the same thing because he let out a little laugh. Peeta helps me to sit up peeta. When the kids get back in peeta hands me a card and I read it.

Dear Katniss/Mummy

Happy birthday we love you so so so so much. You are so brave and keep going I know you can win this battle. Don't leave us. I hope you like the presents and you are the best mum and wife anyone could ever ask for we are so happpy you are in our life i cant even think of life without you. We have been through so much togther two games and a rebelion. I know you can do this. You are strong. Very strong and I love you, we love you, never give up because I believe in you. Hope you have an amazing birthday .

Love always Peeta, willow and rye

I let a small tear fall onto the card, Peeta pulls me into him and I lean up and kiss him "I love you" I tell him "I love you too always have always will." He tells me I hug willow and rye and give them a kiss on their cheeks.i got a necklace with all of there names and a infinity charm on it. And I got some pjs and chocolate. I then heard a creak downstairs. "Peeta did you hear that" I ask worriedly. "hey don't panic I will go and check." He reassures me and I just nod in agreement.

Peetas POV

Crap she heard someone. I left the front door open with a sign on it saying come in and hide somewhere BE QUIET. When I get downstairs I go see who is here. Everyone is here so I tell them. "I will go get her." I tell them. I go back upstairs and liget her up bridal style. "do you want to go downstairs." I ask and she squels in excitement I have already placed her wheel chair down stairs I walk down and place her down just as everyone jumps out yelling "SURPRISE." She starts to cry " oh I am sorry don't you like it." I ask I feel so bad I thought she would like it. "no no peeta I love it." She says as she paulls me to her and kisses my lips. I smile.

Gale pov

I am so happy to see her I haven't seen her sience the end of the war. But I am confused why is she in a wheel chair did peeta hurt her. "peeta can I please speak to you privately." I ask him and he nods and follows me into the kitchen. "whats up." He asks. I am mad at Peeta I trusted him to look after "WHY DID YOU HURT KATNISS I TRUSTED YOU AND YOU GO HURT HER," I scream at him. "but." He starts but I cut him off. "NO BUTS PEETA. DON'T GO BLAMEING THIS ON THE CAPITOL ON YOUR HJACKING." I yell again.

Katniss Pov

I just sent off willow and rye to go play with fin (annies and finnicks son.) lucy(delly and mikes daughter) and amy (gale and katies daughter.) while I get to know katie. She seems very nice and she was from district 6 and her best friend died in the 73rd hunger games so she hated the capitol as well. When we are talking I heard someone yelling in the kitchen so katie helps wheel me in and I see gale yelling at peeta. " What is going on in here." I try to yell but I turns all croaky. " katniss please be honest, but did peeta hurt you ." he asks me agrily. 'what no he never hurt me." I tell him. "then why are you in a wheel chair huh." He sassily asks me thinking that I am lying but I am not. "BECAUSE I AM SICK ALRIGHT." I scream at him he looks down and I turn around and I see everyone standing at the door way I see johanna and annie crying and hugging each other I have never seen johanna cry I see effie cuddled into haymitchs chest. My old prep team huddled on the floor crying as well. And everyone else is just looking sad at me . only my mother, efiie, haymitch, greasy sae, delly, lucy and mike knew about my sickness. " kat I am so." Gale starts but I stop him "peeta can you please take me to my room just for a little." I ask and he nods and carries me to the the room "do you want me to stay." He asks " no its alright." I tell him "ok bye then." He says while starting to walk off. "wait peeta." He turns back around and I pull him close kissing him when I pull apart I tell him "don't blame yourself alright." He nods and walks out I soon start to fell myself dozing off
