I had spent what was left of the afternoon with Ryan untangling cords, who was explaining what everything in his job entails, which I already know since I hired him and his team for those specific details, and scheduling when certain equipment was going to be moved.

"Hey do you want to head out to the tables to get something to eat?" Ryan asked as we sat at two desks looking at all the cords that were now obsessively organized. I rested my chin on my hand and made sure to keep strict eye contact with the top of his hair.

"I don't know. I think I was just going to get something to eat in my room."

"You have Rosa's famous lasagna in your room?"

I laughed and kept eye contact with the swaying strands of hair.

"No I don't, but I'll think of something. I think I have some cookies.

"How old are you Ryan?" I interrupted myself.

"Why?"

"I just want to know."

"I'm twenty."

"...interesting." I got up from the desk and started walking backwards toward the door. "So are you going to join me?" I asked one last time.

"Yeah, why not?"

"Great! It's on me then. I just have to get my wallet."

"I can buy."

"No it's fine. My idea, my money."

"Don't say I didn't warn you. I eat a lot. Like...a lot."

"Well lucky for you I just got payed...like a lot." We both laughed and headed out of the room off onto our own adventure.

Ryan didn't say anything the rest of the way to my room. We just walked in silence, waving and smiling to anyone who passed us by.

I remember this one night filming 1953, where Abigail and drove to a corner store, and bought as much junk food as we could. We got sick from all of the food, and although I didn't have any important scenes the following day, Abigail had to do a very intense scene with Kyle. You could hear her stomach grumbling through the whole scene. I felt so bad. She had to go to the bathroom for like half an hour, and then had to re-shoot the scene again. The funny thing is, most critics said that that scene was one of the best scenes acting wise that had been given that year. Apparently you could feel how miserable and sad her character was. The award she received was all thanks to too many gummy worms, chocolate chip cookies, and cheetos. I'm not discrediting her talent but we like to joke about it now.

"So, do you have a girlfriend?" I asked Ryan, who was waiting by my door as I looked for my wallet.

"Yeah, for two years."

"Wow, two years. That's commitment." I really meant to say that in my head, but you must know some things just slip out on occasion.

"Well, she is my best friend. I doubt we will -don't tell her I said this- but if we did ever break up I think we would still be friends. It's kind of like you and Sawyer." I could hear his voice get significantly lower when he mentioned Sawyer. I found my small wallet thrown into the drawer of the small desk that was in the room and then grabbed my bag to stash all the food I was about to buy.

"Sawyer and I aren't together though." I looked at him and locked the door.

"You guys seem like you are."

"But we're not." I crossed my arms and smiled, because I didn't want him to think I was getting angry.

"If I tell you something you have to promise not to get mad."
