Chapter 15 - Tired

Chapter 15

Several days later

Ichigo P.O.V:

It didn't take long for all of Soul Society to become aware of what happened. The 13 Gotei were now the ones officially running Souls Society. But that came with a cost. That cost being a lot more work. There was already enough work just being a captain now running Soul Society just brought on a whole lot more. I worked very hard for the past few days barley getting any sleep. But thankfully I get a rare day off tomorrow so hopefully I just get rest up all day. I arrived home very late. I looked at the time and it was 11. Rukia should have been home at 9. Maybe she's asleep. I took off my shoes and walked upstairs to our room to find Rukia awake, sitting on bed and she seemed to be writing something

Ichigo: What are you writing there Rukia?

Rukia looked up at me and smiled

Rukia: Nothing really

I sat down beside her and she rested her head on my shoulder

Ichigo: Are the kids asleep?

Rukia: Yeah they are

I yawned after Rukia's response. I didn't realize how tired I have been form the past few days until now

Rukia: You seem tired Ichigo

Ichigo: Yeah it's just the last few days have been rough. I said in a sleepy voice

Rukia then brought my head into her lap and then started to run her fingers through my hair

Rukia: Honestly Ichigo you work yourself way too much. You know you don't have to do any of it you know

Ichigo: Yea I would do anything for you

Rukia: Just because you would do anything for me does not mean it would not make me worry. She said after sighing

Ichigo: Honestly I think you just worry too much

Rukia: How could I not worry about you. Everything you do is something to worry about

Ichigo: Hmm

Rukia P.O.V:

Before I knew it Ichigo was sound asleep. I could tell what he needed the most right now was some sleep. Good thing he will have the entire day tomorrow to rest. I lifted his head from lap and played him down on the bed and covered him with a blanket. I kissed his cheek and decided to check on Kazui and Ichika

I walked into their room and smiled at the sight of them sleeping

Ichika: Mommy?

Rukia: Ichika your not asleep? Did I wake you? I asked whispering so I would not Kazui up

Ichika: No you didn't mommy it's just I'm worried about daddy and Kazui is too

I didn't realize how much they worried for Ichigo. It made sense that they did since they loved him very much. I sat on the bed and positioned Ichika on my lap.

Rukia: Well daddy has been working very hard for the past few days and I understand why you are worried and I'm worried too but I can reassure you that daddy is just fine. I said in a soft tone

Ichika stayed silent for a second

Ichika: Is daddy home right now? She asked

Rukia: Yes he is but he is asleep right now since he is very tired

We stayed in silence until Ichika fell asleep. I laid her down next to Kazui and kissed both of their foreheads

Then I proceeded to go to our room and snuggled next to Ichigo. Before I knew it I was fast asleep.
