Chapter 5 - I'll protect you

Chapter 5:

Several weeks later

Ichigo P.O.V:

I woke up to a sleeping Rukia right next to me and I smiled. I leaned towards Rukia's ear and whispered for her to wake up. She groaned and opened her eyes. Her eyes met mine and she smiled.

Ichigo: Good morning beautiful

Rukia: Good morning. What time is it? She asked while sitting up

Ichigo: It's 7 o'clock so we have an hour and a half to get ready. I said while leaning into kiss her.

Narrator P.O.V:

After a few moments of kissing they pulled away and rested each other's forehead on one other's.

Ichigo: I'll go get ready and make breakfast while you go wake up the kids alright. Ichigo said while sneaking in one last kiss

Rukia: Alright

Rukia P.O.V:

I went to the kids room to go wake them up. I slowly opened the door to find the 2 of em still asleep. I smiled because they looked so cute together. I walked over to the bed, leaned in and whispered for the 2 of them to wake up. Both of them groaned and fluttered their eyes open.

Kazui: Mommy do I have to?

Rukia: Yes you do or else you'll be late. I said while patting his forehead

Ichika: Mommy can I have the chappy cereal for breakfast. She said in the sleepy voice while sitting up and hugging her rabbit stuffed animal who she called chappy

Rukia: Sure I'll tell daddy.

I kissed both of their foreheads and headed to my room to get ready. I changed out of my nightgown into my captain's outfit. While doing so I remembered that we had a captain meeting. I made a mental note to remind Ichigo about that. I walked downstairs to see Ichigo making something. I wonder what he's making. I walked up behind him and hugged him.

Ichigo P.O.V:

I felt 2 arms wrap around my waist and I look to find Rukia hugging me and leaning her head on my back

Rukia: What cha making?

Ichigo: I decided to make some french toast

Rukia: I like the sound of that and Ichika said that she wanted cereal

Ichigo: Alright. I turned around to kiss her forehead and held her close.

Narrator: P.O.V:

The 2 lovebirds had no problem expressing their love for eachother as openly and freely as they did. All they wanted was to be with one another. The kids were watching over this and thought to themselves shouldn't daddy be focusing on breakfast?

After eating breakfast they headed out and first dropped the kids off at the Shinigami Academy. They kissed the kids goodbye and headed for work.

Rukia: P.O.V:

Me and Ichigo were walking hand in hand when I realized I almost forgot to tell him something

Rukia: Ichigo you know we have a captains meeting right? I inquired while looking at him

Ichigo: Oh yeah I almost forgot. Ichigo said while running his fingers through his hair. His hair had gotten a lot longer lately. His hair almost looked identical to the hair he had when he came out of the dangai that one time. Honestly Ichigo does look better with long hair.

Ichigo P.O.V

We arrive at the captain meeting and once all of the captains are there the meeting starts
