i heard the door open and close, already knowing that he was home, rushing downstairs to stop him before he gets into the kitchen
"hey babe, how was work" i cooed wrapping my arms around his neck, but then seeing a small love bite on the back of his neck
"uh Luke, what is that?" i slowly asked turning him around
"what is what?" he asked back raising an eyebrow
"the love bite on your neck Luke" i answered back my voice slightly raising
"it's nothing, i happened to fall and injure myself on the neck" he replied calm
"don't give me that bullshit....who is she"
"who's who-"
"THE GIRL YOUR CHEATING ON ME WITH....WHO THE HELL IS SHE" i yelled my voice becoming affected by the lump in my throat
"Nikole look i-"
"so you are cheating on me......a whole year of my effort and time and this is what i receive" i asked my eyes welling up in tears
"oh come on Nikole, your telling me that you didn't see this coming" he scoffed rolling his eyes
"see what coming....what do you mean" i asked back not wanting to hear his answer
"i mean. we're always fighting always arguing, i mean for crying out loud we haven't slept together in 3 months" he replied laughing at the last part, making my heart literally break into pieces
"so this what a relationship is to you, it's all about sex is that what you wanted" i replied my blood boiling
"Nikole, i never wanted to have a serious relationship, i mean i'm surprised that we even lasted for a year" he said walking past me and into our bedroom
"what are you doing?" i carefully asked already knowing what's happening next
"i'm leaving you, as you can see" he replied shoving his clothes into his suitcase and zipping it up
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WHY LEAVE ME, AFTER A FULL FUCKING YEAR TOGETHER" i yelled my blood reaching the boiling point "WHY DIDN'T YOU BREAK UP WITH ME EARLIER"
"because Nikole i thought you could figure it out yourself and realize that yourself...but i guess it has to be done the hard way" he shrugged walking down the stairs
"FINE GO BACK WITH YOUR SLUT, HOPE SHE REALIZES WHAT BIG OF AN ASSHOLE YOU ARE" I yelled as he walked outside the door
The minute the door closed, i broke down a full year and this is what happens, clutching my stomach i sobbed even harder, "it's okay baby, mommy's going to take care of you...that's my promise" you whisper rubbing my stomach and walking towards the kitchen to remove the supposed surprise

I sat there wiping a tear, remembering that day, 4 years have passed and the memory still haunts me, everytime I walk into my bedroom I remember the times we shared, when he used to give me that beautiful smile and whisper 'everything's going to be alright', now it's all a haunting, a haunting I want to get rid of
"Mommy mommy, look what i mwade" Jaden my 3 year old prince of my dreams said running in and waving a stick figure family, making me smile
"Oh baby, that's beautiful" I cooed picking him and kissing his cheek, making him squeal with giggles, music to my ears
