I sat alone the the Justice Building, trying to collect myself.

Finch, you were reaped into the games.

You have a family relying on your return.

You have a district waiting on your return.

You probably won't return.

Your best friend was also reaped into the games.

Even if you do somehow miraculously survive, he will have to die.

And then you have to return home to face it.

Face everyone.......

I could never be a victor.......

I twist my shirt nervously, trying to calm down, as I hear someone begin to twist the doorknob.

Great, the first of my many goodbyes.

Raven, Jay, Oriel and my father rush in.

I feel a rush of relief as I see my father, Knowing that he's alive makes me feel slightly better.

They rush over sobbing, pulling me into a hug.

"I-I'm so sorry honey, I'm sorry." my father stuttered

"Finch."

I looked down at Jay, who had been quiet up to this point.

"You promised that you wouldn't go away."

"I-I'm s-sorry." I stuttered then began to cry.

I would never see them again. I would die. I had zero chance of survival.

"Look at me Finch." my father had gotten control of himself and grasped my hands. "You can't die, Finch."

"I will die, dad!!! Why don't you get that?!! I'm small!!!! I'm weak!!! I'll be killed in a second!!!" I screamed

"No you won't Finch, your smarter than anyone else I've ever known." My father said hugging me

"I can't, I can't, I can't!!!!" I screamed sobbing harder

"YOU HAVE TOO!!! I CAN'T LOSE YOU TOO!!!!" Jay screamed

I collapse to my knees and cover my face with my hands as I cry.

I am dimly aware of peacekeepers dragging them out of the room.

"DON'T DIE, FINCH!!!! DON'T LEAVE ME TOO!!!" was the last thing I heard out of my sisters mouth.

I heard the door slam shut, I looked up with a sudden determination.

I wasn't going to die, and if I did, I'd go down swinging.

I had sisters, a father and my life waiting for me at home.

I wasn't going to die.

"I WONT LEAVE YOU JAY!!!! I PROMISE, I'LL COME BACK TO YOU!!!!" I screamed, hoping she heard me.

I stood up and wiped tears from my eyes, I straitened my collar and sat down on the chair.

That was my last break-down I would ever have, I decided.

The door opened a second time as Sunny peeked inside.

I felt my heart drop as he walked into the room, I looked down at my feet.

He came over and say down next to me, then wrapped his arms around me.
