Chapter 4: Trespassing again!

‘Rea!’ I heard Liz before she jumped on me and hugged me from behind. I turned away from the stranger Eric and the spell he had me in was broken.

‘Hey Liz, decided to re-join the world of the people? How are your tree-friends?’ I asked as I tried to get her off me.

‘Missed you too Rea and my friends are healthy, but I need your help'. After she finally let go of me I gave her a tight long hug of my own. I’ve not seen her for 3 days. It has been hard without her, especially now I am practically hiding from that ‘Jerk head’ loser from my past. I’ve been preventing myself from having a break down every time I think he has seen me.

‘Help? Why? Are you ok? What happened? What did you do?’ I knew helping Liz with anything meant trouble. This girl always gets herself into situations that I have to either get involved in or try to get her out off.

‘Calm down woman, I just need your help in getting my stuff from the camp in the forest. Let’s go quickly’ She said.

‘Huh?’ I gave her a puzzled expression. Why would she leave her camping stuff in the forest?

‘I left it there because some bastard forcefully removed me from the forest and basically threatened me if I return there’ she said in a pleading fake innocent voice. This cannot be good.

‘Liz, please tell me you weren’t on the private lands! Please!’ I am panicking. I know she knows better than get herself on them lands and lose her place at the college.

Trespassing on the private lands just within the forest is an automatic nullification of your place here in the college. All students are reminded of his on regular basis by the Principle. Liz wouldn’t be that stupid? We’d have nowhere to go if she got kicked out of the college and no other College would take us. We’d lose our scholarships. I need to breathe before I attempt to kill her.

I got hold of her and shook her as she paused in answering.

‘Rea, well….erm maybe, I got lost ok! Stop hurting me you big loaf!’ She said offensively.

‘OMG LIZ, GOT LOST MY ASS!’ I practically screeched.

‘Don’t worry, he wont report me, the bastard was rude not cruel..aaww Rea get off that hurts!’ She moved away forcefully.

I relaxed a little and looked at where I held her. I looked again and was shocked at the mark on her arm. It was red and blue, painfully bruise was forming there.

‘Liz, how did you do that?’ It looked like her bone might be damaged it was so painfully and ugly.

She looked at her arm as she stretched it forward.

‘Oh that weird bastard, he hurt me when he hurled me out of the forest, practically carried me out’ She said unconcern with the state of her arm.

‘Liz who hurt you?’ I was getting angry now. I hate when others hurt Liz, it pains me.

‘Some guy Rea, and he didn’t hurt me, he was just strong and strangely fast.’ She said absent mindedly.

‘Listen Liz we need to take you to the medic office and get this checked o___’ She cut me off.

‘Let’s go get my stuff first mum Rea. I really cannot afford a new camping gear’ She said as she dragged me along the halls.

‘Erm …bye Eric’ I shyly looked back at Eric remembering he was still standing there observing Liz and I.

‘Mind if I come along?’ He stepped forward and I paused in following Liz. He has the most outstanding voice I have ever heard. So deeply calm, soothing, masculine with a tint of something else, almost magically. Ok so I am a little addicted to the guy’s voice! Sue me it is awesome, you’d want to record and listen to it all the time.
