Chapter 4

She needed to find Marceline. But, seeing as this was her party, everyone wanted to talk, which was not what She needed.

"Hey, Briar. Over here!"

"Briar, come talk to us!"

"Briar, come see what I bought you!"

"Hey, if you're looking for Marcy, she's over there." It was Finn.

"Thanks, Finn" she

said, smiling

"No problem. Happy Birthday." He said, handing her a small package. Inside was a white animal hood, like Finn's , except for the fact that hers had cat ears. She jammed it onto her head and thanked him with a tight hug. "Thankyou so much, Finn!"

"Hey, no problem."

And she walked off to find Marceline.

She stopped to say hi to Princess Bubblegum, who gave her a new dress. It was blood red and charcoal, her favorite colours, and it went three quarters of the way down her arms, and stopped just above her knees.

Eventually, she found Marceline. She was sitting on the windowsill, taking to one of her ghost friends. As soon as she saw Briar-Rose, she jumped up, gave her her present, and motioned for her to sit down. Once she had, she started to carefully remove the wrapping paper. Marceline, who was impatient, ripped off the paper for her to reveal a musical instrument case with a black ukelele inside, that had the bitten heart on the front. "Marcy, thank-you so much!" She gave Marceline a hug, even though she wasn't the hugging sort. Marceline looked over and saw Marshall at the door, pointing at Briar and gesturing for her to come over. "Bri, I think Marshy-Warshy wants to see you." She jumped up, thanked Marceline again, and went to see what Marshall wanted. As she walked over to him, he put is hands over her eyes and started leading her to the kitchen
