I examined my outfit while I walked down the side walk towards the local coffee shop. I had already spent half an hour staring at myself in the mirror. It had been a long time since I'd worn a skirt and it felt strange. It had been a long time since I'd even tried to look good.

I was on my way to meet James. We had never talked outside of school. I bumped into him on my first day and he insisted on seeing me again. James was handsome, with his curly brown hair and hazel eyes.

I was so deep in thought that I hadn't noticed that I had made it to the front doors of the coffee house. I stepped into the shop and sure enough those handsome hazel eyes met my blue ones. I stood there for a second too long looking at him. I shook my head as if to clear it and walked to the booth to join him.
"You look beautiful Macy."
