A/N: Oh my gosh, its the final chapter for this part of Unholy Matrimony. I'm so happy,  I actually got it on the deadline (Dec. 31) for the Watty's!  Hope you vote for me!

But most importantly, Happy New Year's!

I'm so happy that it's finally snowing, but anyways I hope you like this chapter...

Various painting sprinkled the wall of the corridor, giving a little life to the gothic building. A particular painting portrayed a couple waving and smiling at us. In the corner of my eye the lady in portrait winked and nodded her head in Kadious’s direction, I couldn’t help but turn a little pink and act like I didn’t notice a thing.

“How long has this place been around”, I asked.

“Nobody really knows. Some say forever, but I personally thing that it would have to be created by someone at one point of time. But I guess we’ll never know”

“Has it always been your family’s control?”

“No, many years ago it belonged to a powerful fellow but unfortunately for him, a demon a.k.a my great great great grandfather killed him and thus, won the title of King”

“So that’s why you can’t trust a demon”, he added with a wink.

“Hm, so you can become King by simply killing him”, I asked sincerely curious.

“Yeah but it’s pretty hard to actually do it, so don’t get any ideas”.

He smiled down at me, laughter curling his lips into a lopsided smile.

I actually laughed.

“But wouldn’t I become Queen?” I teased.

“Yeah something like that”, he muttered under his breath. Before I had time to question him, he started walking again.

“Let’s go, human”, he called over his shoulder.

I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at him.

What a great nickname…

Kadious has returned from his melancholy mood becoming his usual arrogant self again. I lie-he was more arrogant…almost in a good mood. This is far worse than when he is in a bad mood.  Now, he was unpredictable.

We had spent the whole day talking.

Literally.

I found out some really interesting things about him, although he I noticed he has his guard up.

“Be careful, those are poisonous”, he said as we passed a beautiful vivid flower. I feebly pulled my hand back.

“Oh very sentimental of you” I ask not evening attempting to hide the sarcasm in my voice.

He didn’t respond instead just continued walking.

He has taken me outside, to the Kingdom’s garden.  It was utterly stunning.

I was able to actually breathe fresh air. However I wouldn’t put it past me if this was just a room, and all I was seeing was an illusion.

But ignorance is bliss, I guess.

“Well Layla it seems that I'm needed somewhere else. I promise we must finish this little chat. I assume you know your way back I assume?” he asked.
