Sitting on the couch, you had been on YouTube for hours, not really sure what you were watching but you knew you had watched so much that you ended up on the weird side. Bored, you dropped your hand next to you. Your phone slipping from your hand onto the pillow that supported your back. A sigh slipped from your lips as you forced yourself up off the couch, sitting up so fast you got a headache. Wincing, you held your head. "Ouch.." you mumbled, getting dizzy. "Oh my gosh Y/N! Are you okay?" A familiar voice gasped, nodding your head, Hoseok kneeled down in front of you, gently putting his hand on yours, his other hand to your head. "I'm fine, I sat up to fast." You smiled. Hoseok sighed with relief, helping you up off the couch. "Be careful, okay?" He made sure you were okay before walking to the kitchen. His back turned to you as he pulled a glass from the cabinet. "How's your ratings going?" You decide to ask. Hoseok made a little muffled noise. Filling the glass with water. "Fine, nothing really new today." He huffed, you walked into the kitchen leaning against the island counter still facing him. "I'm sure you'll get new feed." You encouraged, Hoseok made a small chortle and turned to you, leaning against the counter facing you. "We have to work harder, I won't be home till late tomorrow, Yoongi wants me to check out his song he's writing and I got dance practice all day and a few business meetings. Think you can handle me being away for a few hours?" Hoseok smirked. You giggled, although you didn't like it when you couldn't be with Hoseok, you respected his work, you were his number one fan. "Yeah, I'll be fine you goof, I think the real question here is can you handle being away from me for a few hours." You smirked back cocking an eyebrow. Hoseok looked down. "No, probably not, but I'll have the boys, what will you have?" He looked back up, you shrugged. "I'll have the comforts of my apartment and not worry about the world." You noticed Hoseoks strange stare as he took a sip from his water. "You sound so introverted." He muttered into the cup, you let out a small gasp. "Rude!" You yelled. "True." Hoseok retorted. "True..." you repeated sadly. Your best friend laughed and put down the glass behind him, you got off the counter to head back to the couch when Hoseok suddenly grabbed you, gently pushing you against the counter. Coming inches to his face, you felt yourself go red. Being this close with him made your stomach turn. Having a crush on your best friend isn't the easiest. Hoseok reached behind you, letting go and backing up, he held up an apple and smiled. "Apple." He simply said, you nodded and gulped, forcing a smile in shock. "R...right...ap...apple...excuse me." You pardoned yourself and grabbed your phone off the couch quickly as you hurried to the bathroom.

Closing the door and locking it, you breathed heavily leaning against the sink counter. You looked at your reflection, you had turned so red you looked like you might explode. Calming down, you grabbed your phone which you had set next to you when you entered the bathroom, you opened it and scrolled through feed. BTS was ever so slightly making its way up the charts. You felt a brush of relief, something to take your mind off of what had happened. Reading through different posts on social media, you blocked out bad ones and cherished the good ones about the boy group. A smile crossed your face when you saw the photo taken of Hoseok, the caption calling him handsome. Suddenly, a knock on the door made you flinch, nearly dropping your phone. "Y/n? Are you okay?" Hoseok asked from outside the door, nodding, you realized he couldn't see you and responded with a sharp yes as you washed your hands like you had just used the bathroom. "Okay...I'm gonna go to bed on the couch, okay?" He called out, you exhaled deeply before unlocking the door and walking out to him, you hadn't realized he was right up against the door, running into him, you quickly said sorry and walked to your room. Hoseok walking in behind you, you looked at him and sighed. "Let me get you some blankets." You smiled, Hoseok leaned against the door to your bedroom and nodded. You grabbed extra blankets from the foot of your bed and gave them to him. "Have a good night, y/n." Hoseok said in a deeper voice. You nodded back. "Good night." You whispered, he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. You flopped onto your bed, a groan escaping your lips. You didn't know when the energy changed, one moment you were both laughing and joking with each other to acting like new friends that were still technically strangers in a sleepover. Is this the future? When his dreams come true?

Impossible. You and Hoseok had been friends since you were eight, nothing would be able to get in the way. Not other people, not events, not distance, and especially fame. You two were the inseparable duo. And nobody could that that away.

Yet, even with hyping yourself up that your love for each other was stronger than your family bonds, you could hold onto your family.

You can't hold onto your best friend.
