Authors Note:

Hey!

This started off as an entry for My Wattpad Love One Shot Competition.

But I liked to think that it grew to become more than just that; and due to tonnes of requests received, I’m continuing it! :D

Here’s something to help the old readers-

Old character= New character

Melissa= Delilah

Shane = Ryanne

Jules= Mallory

All of their personalities will differ from that story since this is now, a new story; it's my story. I hope you like my story even though it rips past the barricades of teen fiction and steps into the universe of fantasy on Wattpad! :D

ENJOY <3

P.S- Sorry if the Latin is shaky, I actually got it off Google Translate since I don't really know Latin and this entry is a wee bit long :) . Thanks! :D Now to end my banter here comes the story-

Delilah's perspective-

Thunder shook the sky as it's deep rumble resonated through the atmosphere. A brilliant, jagged lightning bolt pierced through the inky black night sky. The shaky chants of a wounded woman emitted across the area that stood under the stark black sky. The woman who chanted rapidly in Latin stood atop an open terrace on an abandoned building, much oblivious to the ferocious wind currents that swirled around her and threatened to consume anything that stood in it's path. The woman hugged a bundle of blankets close to her chest as tendrils of her blond hair whipped in the howling wind. Foreign scriptures had been engraved onto the ground beneath her and a wheel of candles that held flickering flames -that had unbelievably been able to survive the wind- surrounded her. Her lips trembled as she finished the canto with the sentence, "...venit coram me incendere unum."

The moment those words left her parted, chapped lips tendrils of a single lightening bolt struck the circle of scriptures that surrounded the woman and the wheel of candles. The woman whimpered slightly as sheer power radiate across the particles in the air causing the air to hum. The flames that swayed along with the slightest motion of the wind extinguished as the unidentifiable power rippled across the air. The woman clutched the bundle of blankets closer to her as she gulped down a lump that had begun to form in her throat.

Suddenly after a few minutes of eerie silence the flames that danced atop the candles wick returned and an absurd change seem to occur- the flames seem to twirl, twist and flow, mirroring the movements of a waterfall going the opposite way . The flames then collected directly atop a certain scripture that was in shape of a bird. The woman watched -as the flames swirled in the air and created a figure- with her wide hazel eyes. The flames roared and sparred amongst themselves until they completed the figure.
