A summer in NYC:a hp fanfiction

Chapter 1

Hermione's p.o.v

Finally summer is here! I should get ready for my 7th year in Hogwarts but i think i will let go for a while. I mean, I studied hard, helped my friends, i think I deserve it! I called down Ron and Harry to come over to my house and hang out. About a couple hours later they arrived. "Hey Hermione!" "Yeah hey Hermione." said Harry and Ron. We hugged and entered my room. "I really want to go somewhere with you guys this summer." i said. "Some place new." We all looked at each other. "I know!" Said Harry. "We should go to New York!" "Brilliant Harry!" Said Ron. "Yeah that's nice!" I said. We were all really excited. "I want to see the Empire State Building or go see a show!" I said. "I want to go site seeing." said Ron. "Anywhere is fine as long as I am away from the Durslies." Said Harry. This made us laugh.
"What is it you guys are talking about up here." Said my father. "Oh..umm..we were just-" "don't lie to me Mrs. Greanger, boys." "Yes father." i responded. He was always doing that. Walking in on a private conversation and interupting everything! He also embarrasses me all the time. If New York will get me away from here, then i am leaving tomorrow. "We were talking about going to New York...sir." said Ron acwardly. "well then, now is the best time! Use you magic and do that poof thing in the fire place to get there. I am fine with it." said dad. That 'poof thing' made us giggle but we still knew what he was talking about, and we know Ron never goes away without it...some 'emergency' thing.
"My father's right. we can do that, and you guys have your trunks packed already, all i have to do is pack mine!" I said. The two looked at me then eachother and knodded in agreement. "It's settled then, your leaving tomorrow morning!" Said my dad. This was the first time he agreed to this. Usually when we want to go somewhere he says no, it is like he is trying to get me out more, but that doesn't matter, I'M GOING TO NEW YORK!!
