::Jacob’s P.O.V::

“And you could’ve been on your way to prom all now,” My mom said resting her hands on her hips.

“I know mama,”

“No Jacob, you don’t know. I don’t know what to do with you! You bully the girl who took all that time off her hands to come over here to help you out with your work. She had guts coming here after all you’ve done to her, then after you both build a relationship you shut it down by going behind her back with another girl?”

I sighed and ran my hands through my hair,

If she only knew.

“Jacob I'm speaking to you!”

“I’m listening mama,”

“No, your eyes are wandering all over the place,”

I sighed again,

“I don’t want you leaving this house, do you understand me? Let you stay home while all your friends have the time of their lives at prom because you’ve disappointed me,”

She looked at me one final time before shaking her head and walking out the room.

I slouched back in the couch when my phone began vibrating,

I picked it up off the couch to see a text,

[Unknown] Aw, Staying home 2nite? No worries, This way I’ll have no problems getting Gianpiero all for myself ;)

My jaw clenched as I knew exactly who had sent the text,

I need to get to Prom, and I need to get there now before Daniel does anything to Ellanae,

One problem,

My mother.

She was in the kitchen right now.

You could see the front door directly from in there which means I can't get out through there.

I got up and walked up to my room and walked up to my closet and scanned through it,

“And where do you think you’re going?”

I jumped and turned around to see Carrie sitting on my bed with her arms crossed,

“Uhh,” I panicked, “Just looking for a clean shirt,”

“Jacob I’ve been around long enough to know when you’re lying, You’re planning on disobeying your mother’s orders and going to prom, Aren’t you?”

“Ellanae isn’t safe there Carrie,”

“And you care because?”

I walked up to her and leaned forward so she alone could hear me,

“Carrie, I never cheated on Ellanae,” I whispered.

“Oh really?”

“I was forced at gun point to go behind her back and get another girl, and then face her so the same person who threatened me could have her.”

Her expression changed immediately,

“Where, In school?!”

I nodded,

“Why didn’t you tell anyone Jacob?!”

“Because he’s watching my every move, and I don’t know how he finds all this stuff out but it’s freaking me out,”
