Chapter 7

Annabeth's P.O.V

       After Mr.Brunner's class ended I told Percy how to get to the gym, since we didn't have the same class next period. When I got to class, I sat down in the front waiting for class to start, and I couldn't help but think about Percy. He was really cute, but the thing that really got my attention were his eyes, they were a mesmerizing sea green that you could just stare into for hours. "A... Annie... Annabeth!" Selina yelled at me which caused me to jump in surprise. I looked at her like she was crazy and said "Jesus Selina you're going to give me a heart attack, don't do that.". She shrugged and said "You weren't answering us so we had to get your attention somehow" "Sorry, just thinking about something" I said now going back to thinking about Percy. "You mean someone?" Thalia said smirking. "What are you talking about Thalia?" Piper asks curious as to Annabeth may be thinking about. "Oh no one, just the new kid she's been hanging around all day." Thalia says innocently. "What!" Piper and Selina exclaim loudly. "Who is he? What does he look like? What's his name? Is he cute? W-" "Woah Selina calm down your gonna kill yourself with all these questions" Annabeth said trying to calm her friend down. "But to answer your questions, his name is Percy, he just moved here from Nebraska cause his step-father lost his job and got one here, and he's really cute" Annabeth exclaimed a little too happily. "Ok... Who are you and what have you done with Annabeth!" yelled Piper. Annabeth looked at her confused and asked "What do you mean Pipes?" "Annabeth, you've never liked a guy, you've never given any guy a single thought, and here you are daydreaming about someone you just met, it's just a little out of character for you." explained Selina. "Yeah we usually leave the daydreaming to Pipes and you" Thalia said to Selina. I couldn't help but laugh at that, and then went back to thinking about how I can't wait for lunch to finally get here.

Time Skip

          After class ended Selina, Piper, Thalia, and I went to the cafeteria and got our lunches, then we went to our regular table and waited for our friends to get here. 5 minutes later and almost everyone was here, the only ones missing were Luke, Beck, and Percy, I was starting to think that maybe Percy found another place to sit or just wasn't going to come to lunch at all, but then three people entered the lunch room laughing and heading toward the lunch line, and I saw that it was Luke, Beck and Percy. After they got their food all three of them came over to our table and Luke sat next to Thalia and Beck sat next to Selina, while Percy just kinda stood there not knowing where to sit, so I said "Here you can sit next to me Percy.". He looked at me gratefully and sat down. When he sat down everyone stared at him, and I face palmed knowing what was about to happen. After a good minute of staring at an awkward looking Percy everyone started to ask him questions, and I looked at Percy and he seemed to be overwhelmed by all the questions so I thought I'd help him out. "OK...Ok one at a time... one at a time... Now Selina seeing as this is the first time you've seen Percy, you ask your questions first." I stated firmly, and everyone knew not to object. Selina squealed when I said that and asked "Ok... first off, how old are you?" "16" Percy stated simply. "When is your birthday?" "August 18", "Favorite color?" "Blue", "What's the name of your girlfriend?" she asks looking at me innocently, and I glare at her. Percy looks a little confused as to why she asked that but shrugs it off and answers "I don't have a girlfriend" and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, while all the other girls look absolutely shocked, even Nico and WIll looked shocked. "Then what was the name of your first girlfriend?" Piper asks curious how to a guy as hot as Percy doesn't have a girlfriend. Percy looks at all the girls confused as to why they are looking at him like that and he shyly says "Um... I've never had a girlfriend before, and before you ask no I've never kissed anyone nor have I done anything else with anyone.", and now everyone at the table looks shocked at his answer while I'm secretly dancing inside. After a couple minutes of awkward silence Selina and Piper both yell "WHAT!!" outraged that a boy this hot and nice hasn't ever had a girlfriend. Their boyfriends Jason and Beck try to calm them down and Selina says "How is this alright, look at him", I look at Percy to see him looking at both Selina and Piper with a little concern in his eyes, aww he's so sweet. "He's too hot to never have had a girlfriend before, it's a disgrace!" yelled Piper and Selina and most of the girls at the table nod in agreement, but the thing that really shocked everyone was that Nico and Will were nodding along with them. When they realized that everyone was looking at them Will shrugged and said "What? We may be together but it doesn't mean we can't see how hot someone is" and Nico nodded at his boyfriend's words. "I don't understand what the big deal is?" Percy said to Selina and Piper mostly. Selina grabs his shoulders and starts shaking his saying that he's too hot and kind to not have ever had a girlfriend before, and he just says "Ok... Ok '' and then he looks at me with a questioning look, and I give him an apologetic look in return, and he just smiles at me and shrugs.

       After the huge discussion of how Percy has never had a girlfriend before, everyone started talking amongst themselves about things, when Luke asked Percy "So... you gonna come try out tomorrow man?" Percy looked at him and said "I don't know man, I've never even played before, I probably suck.". After hearing this everyone was listening to the conversation and Beck says "Come on Perce, it won't hurt to come try out" but Percy still looks a little uncertain, while everyone else including myself are wondering what the hell they are talking about. "Yeah come on man, you're the fastest person I've ever seen, I mean seriously dude you ran a mile in 5 and a half minutes, even coach said that it's the fastest he's ever seen someone one run." Luke pleaded with him, while everyone looked surprised at Percy. "Ok, so I can run fast, that doesn't mean I'd be a good running back." Percy retorted. As Luke, Beck and Percy were arguing about whether or not Percy should go try out tomorrow, the rest of the boys on the football team realized what was going on and Jason said "How about this? Today after school we all go to the field and run a few plays, and then you can decide if you want to come try out tomorrow at practice?" and Luke and Beck looked at Percy pleadingly but he didn't even budge. Percy then looked around the table to see everyone telling him to do it, and suddenly his eyes landed at me and our eyes met, and I couldn't help but get lost in them, until I realized that he was asking me what he should do and a nod to him, and he smiles widely at me and my heart skips a beat. "Alright, well all go to the field after school to run a few plays" Percy said still looking at Annabeth. We continued to stare into each others eyes, for what felt like hours, but in reality was only seconds, and the bell rang signalling that lunch was over and it was time to go to our next class. At Least Percy's in my next class, I thought happily.
