4. Preparing For The Knockouts

When I woke up, instead of feeling nervous like I thought I was going to be, I was really excited.

It was Tuesday and it was my day, along with two others, to have the coaching session with Kelly.

I jumped out of bed and straight into my small wardrobe.

I got into this:

And did my hair like this:

I don't know who else I'll be being coached with, but I hope they aren't too good.

I walked in the building, signed in and was escorted to the coaching waiting room where I would see who I was up against.

After taking a deep breath, I walked into the room.

I saw that I was going up against Sam Perry and Emily Green.

Great.

Emily had amazing vocal chords and Sam... Sam was something. But it was amazing.

If I'm being honest, I think that it's unfair that he was allowed to take part. I would never say that out loud though.

"Omg, hi." I said, hugging Sam.

"Hi, I'm scared you're so good!"

"So are you, and you." I said, going over to hug Emily Green.

"You are too." She said.

The producer came up to us and told us they were ready.

We walked to the stage and Kelly was waiting.

"Heyyy." she said hugging all of us.

"So, the theme I have picked for you is girl groups."

"Yay." I cheered.

I was excited.

I like a lot of girl groups so this will be good.

"For you, Emily, I have chosen say you'll be there by the Spice Girls."

"For you, Sam, I have chosen Survivor by destiny's child. I am trusting you with this."

I was kind of jealous that Sam got to sing her song. I mean that's a huge honour.

"And for you, Olivia, I have chosen Shout Out to my Ex by Little Mix."

I squealed. I love Little Mix.

The others did their songs and I was last. They were both so good and I was nervous.

"So, Livy, have you ever had an ex?"

I nodded.

"I want you to take any emotions you felt, and put it into this song. It's a very energetic song. So you need tohave fun OK?"

"OK." I nodded back.

"Good." Kelly praised.

"thank you." I said.

After coaching, it was lunch time so we all went to the canteen.

I was sat at a table with Ayden. We were talking about the knockouts whilst eating our sandwiches.

I had a chicken toastie and and an apple juice with ice.

It was a lot better than normal canteen food.

"So what song are you singing?" he asked.

"Shout out to my ex. You?"

"Side by side."

"Oh OK. That's a cool song. I hope it goes good." I said.

"Thanks. You too."

Then, Joe Jonas sat in front of us and grinned.

"Hey."

"Hi." Aydan said.

I waved awkwardly, star struck.

Not because of who he was. I mean I wasn't really a fan of the Jonas brothers but I've heard a few of their songs.

I was star struck because of how hot his grin was. It was such a boyish grin, but it made him just so, so attractive.

"Do you mind if I steal Aydan from you for a second." he asked.

"Uhh. S-sure. Yeah. Go ahead."

"Thanks."

And they left.

We had finished our lunch by then so I sat there, sipping my apple juice, slightly overwhelmed.

Aydan's POV:

Joe put his arm around me and I looked at him.

"how's the song coming along?" he asked.

"Good. I think I still need practise though."

"Good. So, uhh, you seem close with that Olivia girl."

"Yeah... she's a really nice girl."

"She seems like a really nice girl. So, are you dating?"

"No. I don't like her in that way. Besides, I think she likes older guys."

"huh." He said thoughtfully.

"Why are you asking me so many questions about Olivia?" I asked suspiciously.

"What? I'm not!" he defended, and quickly looked over our shoulders at her and sighed in what I think was relief?

I'm so confused.

"Anyway..." He said and we walked and talked about the knockouts.
