Hola! I don't want to give too much away about the characters but I did want to provide you with a peek at who this story is about.
Two pairs of siblings are at the center of "Almost 13". Marisol and Susie are sisters who are on the brink of becoming strangers or friends. On the other hand, Daniel and Matthew are brothers who do everything together. They're all thrown together during the summer of 1993 when their parents decide they're too old for babysitters but too young to stay home alone and enroll them in day camp. Marisol and Susie are looking forward to another summer at the Y, but this is the first year they will officially be in teen camp. Teen camp is notorious for lazy counselors and heaps of trouble. And the summer is just beginning.
Marisol is shy on the outside but fuego on the inside.
