I'm currently in a tank top and sweatpants, listening to music on my speaker as I make myself some food.

At least I don't smell like a blueberry frenzy anymore.

I then hear a knock on my door and I pause my music and set my plate of food down.

I walk over and open the door to see Kendall holding a bouquet of flowers and a box.

"What do you want? I told you to stay away from me." I state.

"No, you said you'd see me later. It's later."

"Shouldn't you and the guys be begging Gustavo for his forgiveness right now?" I scoff.

"I got that covered. Look, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for how acted in the booth early." He states.

"Kendall, I know you are." I scoff.

"Oh so, you don't want this $100 necklace?" He challenges.

"Who said I didn't want it?" I say, taking it from him, also the flowers.

"What happened to your face?" I say in shock, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

"It's nothing." He smirks, shaking his head.

"Did I do that?" I say, walking over to the couch to set down the gifts.

"Kendall." I breathe, walking back and placing my small hand on his bruised cheek.

"I'm sorry." I say in a soft tone, rubbing his cheek with the pad of my thumb.

"Don't be. I deserved it." He shrugs.

"I mean, you were acting like an asshole but you didn't deserve a mark like that." I sigh.

"C'mon, I'll clean it up." I say.

"I'm fine, really." He nods.

"Too bad." I say, taking my hand off his face then grabbing his hand, pulling him into the apartment.

"Sit." I say and he lets out a breath, obeying me.

I go to the bathroom and grab some ointment, cotton swabs and a bandaid.

"Come here." I say, and he scootches next to me.

I open the ointment and put some on the cotton swab, then lightly dabbing it on his cheek.

"Ah." He hisses.

"Sorry." I say and lightly blow on his cheek.

I then grab the bandaid and gently stick it on his cheek.

"There, all better." I say and our eyes meet for a second and I chuckle, looking down to avoid further eye contact.

I then place the stuff on the coffee table and throw the bandaid wrapper in the garbage.

"So, wanna see what I got you?" He asks and I nod and he opens the box.

It's a gold necklace with a silver microphone charm in the middle.

"Kendall, you didn't have to. Why did you?" I say in shock and he chuckles.

"You've been helping the guys and I with everything. We wouldn't of made it this far without you." He says and I grin.

I then move my hair to the side and turn around and he puts the necklace on me.

I look back at him and his hands are grazing my skin.

"I love it." I smile at him and he grins at me, staring into my eyes.

He then leans in and I grab his shirt, kissing him.

He then picks me up and I straddle his waist.

We kiss for a couple more seconds and I pull away.

"Be honest, is Jackson really your boyfriend?" He asks breathlessly.

"Ex-boyfriend." I correct him, with my hands around his neck and he smirks at me.

"But look, I'm really not ready for a relationship-"

"It's okay. I think I've been moving on too fast too soon. After Jo left, for a while I thought she was the only for me." He huffs, running had fingers through his hair.

"Yeah, I understand. I think you're starting to remind me a little bit of Jackson too." I say he raises an eyebrow at me.

"Physical feature wise. You're not an asshole." I say and he scoffs.

"Thanks." He says.

"So, what do we do now?" I ask as I realize I'm still on his lap.

"Friends." He grins, holding his hand out.

"Friends." I say back with a grin and shake his hand.

See, just there's nothing going on between us.

Just some mixed feelings.
