Chapter 1- What is this?

2021 A/N: Fair warning before you read this book, I wrote this almost two years ago and some of the themes are extremely inaccurate and some parts are just plain stupid. I will edit this at some point but I don't exactly have the time to revise it rn! If you do choose to keep reading I hope you enjoy!

Naegi POV-

     I awoke to the sound of yet another announcement from Monokuma:
     "Rise and shine twerps! Since you've been such good kiddos i've decided to gift you a surprise! It's in the chemistry lab, have a blast, Upupupupupu!"
     I groaned in response as I reluctantly got dressed and walked over to the chemistry lab. The others were waiting for me. Sakura and Asahina, Mondo and Isumaru, Toko and Togami, and Kirigiri. As soon as she saw me I grinned and ran over to her.
     "So what's the plan," I whispered in her ear.
     "I haven't the slightest clue, I think Togami, Isumaru, Asahina, and I should go in and check,..." she continued. I repeated her plan to the others and everyone backed away from the door as the closen 3 stepped forward. Kirigiri swung the door open only to be swept away by a purple liquid! The others gasped as we ran to help them. Kirigiri looked up at me with a dazed expression. She was slipping in and out of consciousness as I carried her over to a spot without any liquid. A grey bucket was sitting nearby, I squinted to read the small writing:

"Lovers toxic ~ If you come in contact with this poison you will fall hopelessly in love with the first person you are touched by. There is no known cure, they will be in a daze for the remainder of their mortal lives. Upupu!"

     My heart skipped a beat. So this is what he was talking about...I quickly turned to Kirigiri who looked like she was drunk or something. I cupped her cheeks and whispered;

                                                     "Are you okay?"

     And sure enough, she kissed me...

She was intoxicated.
