We were completely unaware of our surroundings... Lost in the middle of nowhere
It didn't matter as long as our fingers were intertwined,
"Do you hear this?" -you asked as you looked into my eyes
I heard the echo of some music coming from nowhere
"I wonder where's it coming fr-" -I attempted to reply while my eyes were still focused on yours,
And before I managed to finish my sentence you pulled me closer "let's dance" -you whispered in my ear
"I've always wanted to slow dance with you" -I whispered in yours
We danced in the middle of nowhere to this random sad song not realizing how heartbreaking the lyrics were
We were so caught up in the moment we didn't realize that the song was telling our story
"A soulmate who wasn't meant to be "
And in a fraction of a second... A random song that I heard in the middle of nowhere became my favourite thing to listen to, reminiscing a memory that never existed, with a person who never knew my name.
Do you remember that night? you kissed my lips softly "I love you" I whispered with my eyes still closed, it was a moment when I realized I've given you my everything.
I opened them with a fading smile on my face, hoping for a reply that I was never given
