I lower my eyes to the ground. I'm in so much trouble after what I did to him. My feet slap the linoleum as I try to run, but this dress was too short. Most people would be excited about having a short dress, but it's how it got short that has the tears springing up to my eyes.
"El? Hey, where you going?" Theresa tries to block my path, but I just brush her shoulder desperate to leave the scene.
How could I be so stupid? It was supposed to be a stupid friendly party, right? Yeah, so was the car ride the day before and that turned into a disaster.
You know my life may not have been perfect, but at least I knew where I was. Now my world crumbles like the ground my slippers pound out an erratic beat on. Wait, where did my slipper go?
Oh please don't tell me it fell next to him? I need to get out of here.
My other slipper fell off and I trip on it. I fall to the ground and the tears take over. I'm such an idiot...
