FAITH

I woke up alone in my room, thank goodness. I was actually afraid to wake up with a stranger inside my room, probably watching me sleep with that dark piercing eyes or rummaging my things and throw snide comments about my stuff.

But my room just felt the same. There were no signs of that drop-dead gorgeous but creepy stranger who just appeared inside my room and tried to kill me twice.

Surprisingly today, staring at it doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Now it just brings so much pain.

One photo was during the acquaintance party when I was a freshman. He was my escort nang panahon na iyon at parehas kaming nakangiti sa larawan. I can recall what happened that night.

I don't have the luxury of time to pull out each photo and recall every memory.

Inaamin kong mahal ko pa rin si Jack, but I love my morals more. He has a family at may anak sila. As much as I want to keep Jack to myself, hindi ko iyon magagawa.

I know he would chose his family after all.

Apparently, I was just a side chick...  For few years, how stupid of me.

But no time to scold myself over it, I have to pack and get things ready. I’ll drop by some clinic, pick a schedule with a shrink then move my things back to the dormitory. In few days, the second semester of my junior year in college will start and there’s no time to slack off.

I packed my usual things, making sure my essentials are inside my luggage. Pagkatapos mag-empake ay naligo ako at naghanda. After blow drying my hair, nakarinig ako ng mga katok.

“Faith? Anak?”

I put down the comb and opened the door. “Mommy.”

She looked around the room at ngumiti nang makitang nakahanda na ang mga dadalhin ko. Her eyes were sadder today, for surely some reason.

She pulled away and smiled. “Nanay mo ako kaya kung may problema, do not hesitate to tell me okay?”
