My dad smiled so it means he approves of her...YES! "she's unique son, now when will I meet this fine young lady?" He asked, half-excited, half-curious. My smile dropped as I looked down on the dark blue carpet, "she's not yet my girlfriend, she has somebody else" I whispered, hurt. "son, if you want her, just show her who we are."My dad stated. "but dad, like I said, she isn't a gold-digger. She doesn't care who we are!" I dramatically stated.

"Well if you want her, don't play fair and square "He stated before standing up, giving me a pat on the back before leaving my room. I guess dad's right. Get ready Audrey, I'm gonna get you.

Audrey's P.O.V

It was around quarter to seven when the students start flooding in the classroom. I was watching the door swing back and forth when my phone starts to buzz. I took my phone out and check the called I'd and it seemed that Ethan's worried 'bout me since we usually meet at my locker. "Hello?" I asked and sadly, I received a worried tone buzzing through my ears. "Where are you? Are you still at home? It's already 7:50-"I cut him off by replying," I'm here at the classroom because it seems that I was an hour early." I explained as I watch Ethan walk in the classroom.

He shuts his phone as soon as I shut mine and when he reached me, he quickly wrapped his arms around my waist, tightening his grip. I groaned," can't b-reathe" I over-reacted. He loses his grip yet kept his arms around my waist. " I thought you weren't going to school so I got worried but now it's all cool." He explained as he kisses my cheek. "I-" I got cut off when he spoke once again," I missed you Auds." He stated, kissing my lips to seal the conversation.

The school passed by like a blur and now it was time for me to go home. Ethan insisted to let him drive me home but I don't want to bother him since he still have football practice so here I am, walking home alone. Lexie used to come with me but today, she has a date with Trey. Finally! Trey admitted his feelings towards Lexie and here I thought that it would take ages 'til he finally admits his feelings towards Lexie.

As I turned around the corner, My house was now displayed in front of me but the thing that makes it different is that there 3 black cars in front of our house and a bunch of bodyguards and paparazzi scattered everywhere. I scrunched my eyebrows and then it hit me. What if dad did something wrong and he's being arrested?! But wait, my dad's decent, well by day but still, he wouldn't do such thing like this. My thoughts soon came to a halt when an arm was slung on my shoulder and flashing lights blinding me. I noticed that it was the guy from the contest last Saturday! He and the other black-suited dudes started pushing their way through the paparazzi(s) and lead me through my home.

As soon as I got through my door, the bright lights disappeared which made me sigh in relief. I thanked the guys but as I was about to open my mouth, the guy from last week led me through my living room just to see my dad, Ross and Dawson Carter laughing. They stopped laughing as soon as they noticed me, they stopped. "uhm, what are you doing here?" I asked and I didn't mean to but it actually came out harshly.

Ross and Mr. Carter quickly stood up as to my dad, well he was glaring at me. Mr. Carter starts to talk, "well I just wanna know who's my son's new friend is" He reasoned out, smiling. "Uhm, well you meet me so now you can go." I said, being harsh. I don't want them here, and the one Mr. Carter just said was a bunch of bull. Why would an extremely rich guy come into a small house near the dumps? But, who I am to judge, right? "Audrey, show some respect." My dad hissed as he continues to glare at me but then it fades when he turns to Mr. Carter. "sir, please sit down." My dad insisted, smiling like he just won the lotto.

Mr. Carter and Ross sat down on our teensy weensy couch and who knows, beer bottles under that dirty couch. My dad looked at me and gave me the, "sit-down-or-you're-dead" look so I sighed and sat down before I get the tantrum. " I apologize for my daughter's behavior." My dad stated, smiling like an idiot. "oh don't worry, Johnny, sometimes Ross does it too." Mr. Carter replied before turning to me.

"so tell me, what's the reason why you guys are here" I asked, curious to what the old man has to say. "well, like I said, we're here to see you since my son likes me to meet you..." He reasoned out, obviously trying to lull me into his plan but I didn't gave in so easily," so, you want to visit some small house near the dumps just to see me? Wow, don't worry, we aren't gold diggers and obviously not users so don't worry, I'm not gonna use your son ---" I blabbed until I got cut off with my dad shouting," Audrey Arianna Winters, get to your room now this instant!" I looked down and mumbled a "sorry" before going up to my room .

A few hours later, I heard our front door shut and cars screeching away from ourhouse, I finally went down the stairs and to the kitchen to get some water. After taking a sip, my dad walked in with a goofy smile on his face which leads me into a conclusion so I thought that asking is better than thinking since it would take me forever, "why are you smiling like you just won the lotto?" I asked, curious. "oh, it's better than lotto" He stated, now grinning. "uhm, why?" I asked, taking a sip of my water. "well Audrey, you're marrying Ross Carter." He gladly announced as I felt my world crashing down slowly.
