Y/n's POV

Later

I had just picked up Lucy from daycare and I put her in her seat.

Y/n - show me your lunchbox

Lucy - no

Y/n - show me your lunchbox now Lucy.

She gives me her lunchbox, I slowly open it to find her food still in there.

Y/n - Lucy you need to eat otherwise you'll get ill. Here try some of this.

I hand her a slice of her apple. She holds it and looks at it.

Lucy - I don't want to eat.

Y/n - but you have to, you have to stay healthy. Please do it for me?

She shakes her head and throws the apple across the room.

Y/n - we don't throw food in this house ok?

Lucy - I'M NOT EATINGGG!

She yells, I pick her up and put her down on the couch.

Y/n - don't yell ok? It's not nice to yell at people it can hurt their feelings.

She nods her head and I pick her up and take her to her room, I put her down in front of her dolls and she starts playing with them.

I hear the door ring and I walk downstairs to answer it, I open the door and see Grayson.

Grayson - hi

Y/n - how did you find out where I live?

Grayson - Kian told me.

Y/n - great, I'm guessing he told everyone.

Grayson - no I asked him.

Y/n - why?

Grayson - because, we need to work on the assignment.

Y/n - listen, I really don't have time-

Lucy - Y/n! Noah stole my dolls.

Noah - you're so pathetic Lucy.

I look back at Grayson.

Y/n - I'll be right back.

I turn around and pick Lucy up, I grab Noah's arm and pull him upstairs into his room.

Y/n - why the fuck did you take Lucy's doll?

Noah - her reaction was hilarious.

Lucy - it was mean I want it back!

Y/n - Noah you tell me, it wasn't fun when you were getting bullied was it? So give her back the fucking doll and stop distracting me I have to talk to someone.

Noah - it's that guy down there, is he your boyfriend?

Y/n - what the fuck no he's not!

I walk downstairs to where Grayson is still standing at the door.

Y/n - sorry.

Grayson - do you think you have time to study?

Y/n - I can't sorry, I have to take care of my siblings.

Grayson - will your parents be home anytime soon to take care of them?

I look into Grayson's eyes. I look down.

Y/n - I just don't have time.

Grayson - you ok Y/n?

Y/n - yeah yeah I'm fine.

I see Noah walk downstairs holding Lucy, I ignore them and listen to Grayson.

Grayson - I really don't want to bother you but I can't fail this, I'm sure you would understand with your parents.

I look at him.

Y/n - I don't understa-

Lucy - AHHH Y/N!

I turn around and see Noah trying to shove something into her mouth.

Y/n - WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU NOAH?

Noah - I thought it would work

Y/n - I swear you have no brain, first you get into a fight and now you're forcing your sister to eat!

Noah - she's got to eat some day Y/n, and with you in charge that's not going to happen! She's going to die, just like-

Y/n - shut up Noah and get out of my fucking sight.

Lucy - I..I don't want to eat.

She cries.

Y/n - you won't.

I try to comfort her.

Lucy - Noah's a fucking asshole

Y/n - I kno- wait where did you hear that language from?

Lucy - you and Noah.

Y/n - don't use it, it's bad language only people our age can say those words ok?

Lucy - ok.

I put her down and she runs up to her room.

Y/n - see Grayson, I really don't have the time.

Grayson - why don't your parents help you?

Y/n - you have an obsession with parents or something?

Grayson - no...I've just uh... never seen a 17 year old take care of her siblings.

Y/n - well guess what? Now you have. I've got to go cook dinner now.

Grayson - see you tomorrow.

Y/n - actually I'm not at school until Thursday because of that asshole.

Grayson - what'd he do?

Y/n - beat up some other kid.

Grayson - oh, well see you on Thursday.

Y/n - bye.
