The smell of my brothers pancakes woke me up. I went downstairs I simply couldn't recist the smell. Jeromes' pancakes were the best in the world which I really didn't understand because pancakes are pancakes right but Jeromes pancakes were different they had a completely different taste to everybody elses, a better taste. He says he puts two secret ingredients in them. But I didn't care as long as those secret Ingredients were going in me."Hey bro' ''I say wrapping my arms around him trying to suck up to him, making sure my plate of pancakes was sucure. "you must of smelt the pancakes" He said laughing. He knew me too well. "No..Can't I just come in the kitchen and give my brother a hug for no particular reason I say trying to act as innocent as possible but there was really no point because he saw right through me. "Ok well I guess You don't want these" He said holding up a plate. "Yeah of course I do" He laughs and put the plate on the table.

whilst we were eating I couldn't help but feel his gaze on me. I look up to see him staring right at me like how a guy would stare at the woman he loves in the movies. "You alright Jay?" "Ha" "You were just sitting there staring at me for ages" "Oh I must of been daydreaming" "ok" I said dragging the 'o'. After that it was a bit akward and silent. "So what do you have planned for today". He asked Breaking the silence. "I'm Just gonna go hang out with Amber at the mall..(Amber is one of my closest friends) ..What about you" "I don't know, probably just gonna chill will Jason". I finished off my pancakes then went in the shower then got dressed. there was a knock on my door. "are you descent" Jerome said talking to the door. "Yeah, come in" I'm going to meet Jase, do you need a ride?" "yes please." "Alright I'll wait for you downstairs. Don't take too long" "I won't" He left the room and I straightened my hair and had a middle parting with my hair let down.

My brother was waiting by his car. "it's freezing" "It's not that cold, it's just a bit windy" the wind blew dust into my eye. "you ok?" "yeah, there's just something in my eye" i said rubbing my eye "let me" he place his hands on my face gently and blew it out. "is it gone" "yeah" then he just stood there with his hands still placed on my cheeks looking into my eyes. ~where we having a moment?~ It was like I was in a trance because I couldn't help but look back into his eyes. He had such beautiful green eyes.

"Shanice I..." "what?" "I think it's time we get in the car, jason's waiting for me" "Oh.. yeah sure." For a moment there it seemed like he was about to confess his love for me.

Jerome's POV

I just stood there staring at her, at those beautiful hazel brown eyes. she is so beautiful and I was just so tempted to kiss her. She doesn't understand what she's doing to me. How much pain and heartache she's causing me.

"Shanice I.."~I love you~ "what?" "I think it's time we get in the car" ~I am such a coward. why didn't I just tell her I feel. How Much she means to me.~"Oh.. yeah sure." she said. She seemed kinda dissapointed and relieved at the same time.

I wanted so much to tell her I love her But I just couldn't bring myself to do it. She'll think I'm a freak. If only she knew how I really feel.

Shanice's POV

He dropped me off at the mall where I saw amber. "See ya later bro' ". "do you want me to pick you up." "I don't want to be a burden" "you can never be a burden. Your my little sis. ~and also the love of my life~ It's my job to do all that." "yeah I know bu.." he cut me off. "no buts, so I'll pick you up around 6" "yeah, bye" "Later sis', bye amber". "Bye" amber said with the fattest grin on her face. I'm guessing she was excited that Jerome said bye to her. "I swear, your brother is so hot. When are you gonna hook us up" she said nudging me insisting I should get them together. (you see Amber has had the biggest crush on Jerome since we were in 10th grade. It's kinda like an obsession. Being a nice guy my brother is he just lets her down easy but she just doesn't wanna accept that it's a no. It's kinda pathetic really.) "Amber, we've been through this already. You're just gonna get you're heart brocken again and I don't like to see you upset." "Please Shanice" "It isn't worth getting yourself upset over" "It's worth a try. Just one more time and I will never ask for anything again."~Yeah right I doubt that~ "Pleeaasse" Giving me puppy dog eyes. "Ok but this is the last time" I gave in. Why am I so weak? from now on no means no. "Thanks Shan'. You're a star".
