(Five years after the war) Serena's POV

It's been five years since the war ended. About year after it; Frodo, Gandalf, Bilbo, grandfather and my great parents left for the undying lands. I was sad to see them go, I hoped they get to see me marry Legolas. Who I was engaged to at the time.

Mum and dad got married & now real Gondor together. While Legolas's father, Thranduil have bee left en-charge of all elves until Legolas and I married. But Legolas and I were in no rush. With Gimli we went to reclaim Mordor for the dwarves and went to explore the glittering caves of Helm's Deep.

Legolas then took me to meet his father in Mirkwood. Thranduil was honoured that a former spirit wolf had fallen in love with his son. He was glad Legolas finally found a worthy elleth to marry. Though we even happier when we announced our engagement at a ball.

Mum got pregnant and had a baby boy. I love my little brother, he looks just like dad. He's name is Eldarion. I often baby sat him with Legolas when mum and dad are busied. If we don't, then Faramir and Eowyn will. They're both married also and have a son called Elboron. Who usually has play dates with Eldarion.

But enough of the past. Today is mine and Legolas' wedding  day. It's been four years since we got engaged and we're finally ready to tie the knot.

We've spent two years planning the perfect wedding with my mothers help. It's being held in Rivendell, Thranduil is officiating and Ada is walking me down the aisle. Pippin and Merry are the ring bearers. Sam is en-charge of the food. Gimli is Legolas' best man. Mum had the perfect dress made for me.

Anyway mum and a few elf maidens are doing my hair. They'd already helped me bath and done my nails. "Mother, can we have a moment alone?" I ask her.

"Of course" she says smiling and sends the maidens away. "What troubles you Serena?" she asks me. As she continues to brush my hair.

"I know I am in love with Legolas, I have been for years. But for some reason I feel nervous" I tell her feeling ashamed. A bride shouldn't be nervous on the happiest day of her life, right?

"Oh darling that is perfectly normal" she tells me giggling. "I to was nervous when I married your father. Not because my feelings for him change, but because I worried something ruin our day. But nothing did and nothing will ruin yours" she assures me.
