"so a guy tried to kill you during the PSATS" I asked Scott, who nodded. I sighed, exhausted from everything going on.

"Nova, you look tired. Hell, exhausted" Scott said as we walked into the sheriffs station. "Because I am" I replied, making Scott give me a look.

"Hey, sorry I had to make you two wait" Dad said as he stepped out of his office. "It's fine" I replied as my phone beeped. "Liam" Scott asked, and I nodded sheepishly.

"Who's Liam" Dad asked me with a teasing grin. "My not so official boyfriend" I replied. "Go, we'll talk tomorrow" Dad said and I left shortly after.

"So you texted me" I said as Liam led me into his house. "I did, because we are having a date" Liam declared happily. I smiled at him.

Liam led me to his backyard where a candlelit picnic was awaiting us. "Do you like it" Liam asked nervously. "I do, it's nice" I replied. Liam let out a breath and I laughed at the nervous beta.

We sat down on a blanket and I gazed at the sky. I relaxed as I looked at the stars. "You like stargazing" Liam asked. "Yeah I do, it helps me relax and forget about my problems for awhile" I replied.

Liam's eyes widened slightly. "Really" he asked curiously. "Yeah, the same thing happens every time I look at you" I replied, gaining a blush from my mate.

"I had a lot of fun tonight" I said as Liam and I walked up my driveway. "I did too" Liam replied as we got to the porch. He put his hand on my cheek, caressing it. I leaned my face into his touch as I looked into his blue eyes.

"Nova McCall, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend" Liam asked, making my eyes widen. "yes"I replied quietly. The young beta grinned before pulling me into a kiss.

"Goodbye, girlfriend" Liam said as we pulled away from each other. "Goodnight, boyfriend" I replied. Liam grinned before walking down the driveway. I watched as the boy ran through the woods and out of my sight.

I opened the door and was met with a squealing Lydia. Her, Kira, Malia, Stiles, and Scott were looking at me expentantly. "Well" Malia asked, bluntly.

"He asked me out" I replied, making the three girls squeal and run over to me. "My ears" Scott complained, ruining the moment.

"He didn't even ask for premisson" Stiles said, angrily. "He asked me" Scott and Malia countered, both smiling slightly.

"What did you say" Lydia asked, making everyone turn their attention to me. "I said yes, obviously" I deadpanned, making her grin.

"My ship has sailed" she said happily, making Malia confused. "what does that mean" she asked making me shake my head and walk upstairs, needing to sleep.

"This is borderline idiotic" I stated, after hearing the plan to catch the benefactor. "But isn't everything"Liam said, making Stiles give him a look.

"It'll be okay Nova" Scott said, smiling slightly. "I don't know how faking your death is okay" I replied, pissed slightly.

"Someone page Melissa McCall" I heard Liam's stepfather say before he exited the room. "I'm sorry Nova, but he didn't make it" Dr. Geyer said.

I busted into fake tears and Liam appeared next to me, letting me fake cry into his shoulder. "I'll take her home" Liam said before directing me to the room Stiles and Kira were in.

"You good" Stiles asked as I wiped the tears from my face. "Just glad I took drama classes" I replied, making said boy grin.

"So, what happens after forty five minutes" Mom asked Kira's mom. "No one told her"Kira's mom asked. "Umm, I'd like to know as well" I inquired, gaining a look from Stiles.

"He dies" Kira's mom said bluntly, looking at me with a curious glance. She beckoned me over to her, making everyone look between us. I unraveled Liam's grip on my waist and walked over to the older woman.

"Give me your hand young one" she said and I did as told. "So much potential. All you need is your brothers bite to unlock it" she said, making me confused.

"Okay, what" Stiles asked, before pulling me into his protective grip. All he got was a growl from Liam, which made me smile slightly.

One thing ran through my mind. "what potential was Kira's mom talking about"
