Lucy's POV

It was a normal Saturday morning.

The birds were chirping normally.

The people were gathering around and doing their jobs normally.

Things were as normal as they could've been.

Yes, it was a normal day.

I'd gotten up and did my normal morning routine before putting on something to wear.

As normal, I grabbed my keys and started to head to the guild.

I climbed up on the short wall next to the river as I normally did.

"Lucy, be careful!" Someone called, which was only normal.

In fact, things were so normal that it was becoming sickening.

Though I can't really complain.

I mean, at the moment, life's pretty good.

Then, I reach the guild.

Everybody was happily conversing with one another, and things couldn't seem better.

I smile, walking over the table my team was sat at.

I take a seat, looking at Natsu with disapproval in my eyes.

"Natsu... you have to save some food for everyone else too!" I say, looking to him as he swallowed down a turkey leg.

He just continued to eat.

Mira walks over to me with a bright smile on her face.

"Lucy, can I get you anything?"

I shake my head dismissively.

"I'm good, but thanks for the offer."

Erza holds up her hand.

"I would like some strawberry cake."

Mira giggles before going off to get the cake of request.

So yeah, everything was normal.

Mira came back to the table, a plate of the dessert in hand.

She sets in down in front of Erza, who immediately picks up a fork.

Erza took in a bite of her cake, her eyes beginning to sparkle with satisfaction.

Things were fine, though I suddenly felt... off.

No, I didn't feel sick.

It wasn't from my magic this time.

I felt...

I felt as if something big was going to happen...

...like something was wrong.

This was definitely not normal.

What was causing this?

Does anyone else feel it too?

Through the door burst Lior and a few other Black Rose members.

"Ready for a taste of fate, fairies?!" Lior yells.

No one responded, shocked of their abrupt arrival.

Quickly, the day had become anything other than normal.

Eyes around the room widened.

The people who stood before us at the doors were smirking.

They had something planned.

I could feel their hostile intentions.

Everyone knew this wasn't your average visit.

This was an attack, and we hadn't prepared to fight back.

That was only the beginning...

The worst was yet to come.

Honestly, after writing this chapter I can understand if you're sick of the word normal.

Yes, I know there are other words that I can use, but I really wanted to emphasize the word normal, no matter how sick of hearing it I was.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!

Thanks so much for 1K reads!

Don't forget to comment!

I'd love to hear your responses...

Also, sorry it's taking me so long to write everything.

I'm trying to break through a block right now.

(You know how it is).
