everyone:(in the living room watching a scary movie)
Laura:(has her head in Ross's chest) Stop it already!
Ryland: But it's the best part in the movie! It's where the guy with the ax comes in and slaughters the--
Laura: Shut up! (grabs the remote and turns it off)
everyone: Hey!
Laura: Don't blame me that I'm afraid of scary movies!
Ross:(smiles) It's okay gorgeous (kisses her cheek)
Laura:(Smiles) Thanks Rossy
Ratliff: Don't go on her side! You should be mad like we are that she just ruined the best part of the movie
Laura:(rolls her eyes) Whatever (gets up and goes in the kitchen)
Riker:(turns the movie back on)
Ross:(follows her) You okay? They were just joking
Laura: I know
Ross: It's okay that you don't like to watch scary movies, it sort of creeps me out too
Laura:(smiles) Thanks (looks down)
Ross: What's wrong?
Laura: Oh nothing
Ross:(turns her chin so she can look at him) What's wrong?
Laura:(sighs) It's the death of my sister (tears up)
Ross: Oh Laur (hugs her)
Laura:(hugs him back sad)
Ross:(rubs her back) I'm sorry
Laura:(nods) It's okay Ross, it isn't your fault
Ross:(pulls away and wipes her tears away) It's alright
Laura:(sighs) I'm just gonna go up to my room (goes upstairs)
Ross: Laura (sighs and sits back on the couch)
Stormie: Where's Laura?
Ross: She's in her room
Mark: Why? We'll turn off the movie
Ross: It's not that
Rydel: Then what?
Ross: It's her sister's death day
Stormie: Oh my. Ross we didn't know
Ross: I know, she's just not in a mood to interact today
Rocky: You should go talk to her
Ross: I want to give her some space to grief for a bit
Ryland: And how long is a bit to you?
Ross:(looks down mumbling) All day...
Rydel: Are you for real Ross?
Ross: What? (looks up) It took me months till I got over Julie's death
Mark: But she needs you right now Ross, she needs all of us right now
Ross: Why weren't you guys there for me when I needed you?
Riker: You kept pushing us away genius
Ross: Oh yeah
Ratliff: You only let Maia help you through it and that's with making out
Ross: Oh shut up (Shivers) Don't remind me, she's just... ugh
Stormie: Go talk to her Ross
Ross: Alright (goes upstairs to Laura's door) (knocks) Laura, can I come in
Laura: Um... one sec (sounds like she crying)
Ross:(talks to himself) Was she crying?
Laura:(opens the door fake smiling) Hey baby
Ross:(walks in) Stop the acting Laura, I know you were crying
Laura:(frowns and starts to cry)
Ross:(pulls her into a hug) I'm sorry Laura
Laura:(cries into his chest)
Ross:(walks over to her bed and sits down pulling her onto his lap) It's alright (rubs her back)
Laura: I-I just r-really miss h-her....
Ross: I know you do, she misses you too
Laura:(looks at him) R-Really?
Ross:(nods and wipes her tears away) I bet she's looking down at you right now. And I know that she doesn't want you to be crying
Laura:(sighs) But I miss her. My best friend taken away from me
Ross: I know but it's gonna be alright. You have my family to cheer you up and give you new memories that you're gonna wish that you could get it out of your head but can't
Laura:(smiles weakly)
Ross:(smiles) There's that smile... well sort of
Laura:(giggles)
Ross:(smiles) There we go. The full beautiful smile of yours (kisses her nose)
Laura:(scrunches up her nose)
Ross:(chuckles) You have a lot to live for Laura, don't let go just yet
Laura: So did my sister but she died
Ross: You don't think it's your fault, do you?
Laura:(Stays silent)
Ross: Laur don't think that, ever
Laura: I should've saved her and not just sit there watching
Ross: You were in a lot of pain to Laur. If you did you would be getting hurt way more
Laura: Yeah but at least my sister wouldn't have died
Ross: It's not your fault Laura, it's your dad's and he had no right ot do that to you and your sister
Laura:(sniffles) Thanks (wipes her tears but more kept slipping out)
Ross:(kisses her tears away then kisses both her eyes)
Laura:(smiles)
Ross:(smiles back) Your sister is happy for what you did. She's happy that you're okay and with us now. And you know what?
Laura: What?
Ross: The heavens got a new angel and it's your sister
Laura:(smiles)
Ross: This is why it all happened. She died so she could be watching over you and also so the heavens could get a new angel. Laur I know things must be hard for you but it's all gonna be okay
Laura:(smiles and whispers) Thank you
Ross:(smiles) You're welcome
Laura:(kisses him)
Ross:(kisses back)
Laura & Ross:(move in perfect sync for 5 minutes then slowly pulls away smiling at eachother)
Laura: You sure there is always a reason for these things?
Ross:(nods) Absolutely, there's a reason for everything. How Julie died and also how you got sick
Laura: Can you explain the sick thing to me?
Ross: The sickness just made you realize how much stronger you are
Laura:(smiles) You're right
Ross: See, there's a reason for everything. A reason that we're together too (holds her hands close to his face kissing them)
Laura:(giggles)
Ross: I love you
