2 weeks later
I finally find the door with the mark of the home Gandalf told me to find. I knocked on the door stepping back a little and wait.
Soon the door opens and a hobbit popped his head around the door looking confused and angry asked: "Can I help you miss?"
I bowed my head "Kaya at your service. You must be mister Baggins may I come in?"
"Um, sure come in." He said opening the door stepping out of the way
Once inside I look around "You have a very lovely home, Mister Baggins." I smiled at him
He smiled and blushed "Oh, thank you. Um, please call me Bilbo."
suddenly we hear a crash and a few knocks at the door.
"How about I get the door, while you go and see what that crash was." I offered
"Sure, thanks Kaya," he said leaving quietly
I smile to myself and go answer the door. When I opened the door there are two dwarves one had blonde hair and the other had black hair
"Fili." the one with blonde hair said
"And Kili." the one with black hair said
"At your service," they said in unison bowing
"You're not Mister Boggins, have we come to the wrong house, Miss?" Kili asked
"Oh, no I'm not," I bow "I'm Kaya at your service. But this is his house, please come in." I step out of way and motion for them to come in.
Once inside they give me their weapons.
"Careful with those, just had'em sharpened" Fili warned
"Ah, Mr.Dwalin." Said Kili
And with that, they both left into the dining area. I shake my head and place their weapons on a box near the door. I walked over to where Bilbo was.
He smiled "Um, you wouldn't by any chance know them would you Kaya?"
"Sorry, no clue." I shrugged
"Let's shove this in the hallway, otherwise we'll never get everyone in." One of the dwarves said
Bilbo and I turned to the dwarves to see them shifting Bilbo's furniture around in his dining area.
"Ev-everyone? how many more are there?" he asked
"Where do you want this?" Kili asked
Just then the doorbell rings. Bilbo walks off mumbling to himself in anger about the dwarves.
"So um, Kaya what brings you here?" Kili asked
"I'm apart of this company I suppose."
Suddenly we both hear a crash at the front door. I turned and see eight dwarves piled on one another telling each to get off.
"Gandalf." Bilbo Sighed
Both the dwarves and Gandalf came further in. The eight dwarves went off to where the others were and Bilbo following angrily.
"Ah, I see you've made it Kaya." Gandalf smiled bending down to hug me
I hugged back ''Of course I did. Still not sure I should be here though. Are you sure about this Gandalf?"
"Of course I am." he smiled letting go and walking off
Sometime after the dwarves eat and drink their fill, they all start wandering around Bilbo's house
"What's the matter? I'm surrounded by dwarves. What are they doing here?" I heard Bilbo ask Gandalf as I walked up to them
Gandalf smiled "Oh, they're quite a merry gathering, once you get used to them."
"He's probably right Bilbo, Gandalf usually is."
Bilbo frowned "I don't want to get used to them. The state of my kitchen! There's mud trod into the carpet, they've pi-pillaged the pantry." he points to his empty pantry "I'm not even going tell you what they've done to the bathroom. They all but destroyed the plumping. I don't understand what they're doing in my house!"
"Excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt, but what should I do with my plate." One of the dwarves asked Bilbo
Fili came over "Here you go, Ori, give it to me." he said grabbing the plate from him throwing it to Kili. Soon the dishes are being thrown around.
"Excuse me, that's my mother's west farthing crockery, it's over a hundred years old!" Bilbo yells "And can-can you not do that you blunt them!" he says to the dwarves at the table drumming with his utensils
"Ooh, d'hear that, lads? He says we'll blunt the knives." the dwarf with the hat says
"Blunt the knives, bend the forks." Kili started to sing
Soon the other dwarves join him, as they throw Bilbo's dishware to each other. I stood there in aw, while they sang, throwing the dishware around without breaking one, stacking them on Bilbo's table.
Though I'm guessing Bilbo didn't know this because he stomped over to us in angry, but stops short when he sees them stacked neat and clean on the table. the dwarves and Gandalf started to laugh, I just shook my head smiling. But we all stop when three overly loud knocks were heard.
"He's here," Gandalf tells us
Bilbo goes over to open the door, with us following behind him. When he opens the door and there stood a long dark-haired, well-trimmed beard dwarf. [He must be Thorin.]
"Gandalf I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice. Wouldn't have found it all had it not been for that mark on the door." he says walking in
"Mark? There's no mark on that door. It was painted a week ago!" Bilbo said in disbelief
"There is a mark; I put it there myself. Bilbo Baggins, Kaya Leafwalker, allow me to introduce the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield." Gandalf said
"So, this is the Hobbit. Tell me, Mr. Baggins, have you done much fighting?" Thorin asks Bilbo
"Pardon me?" Bilbo asked confused
"Axe or sword? What's your weapon of choice?"
"Well, I have some skill at Conkers, if you must know, but I fail to see why that's relevant."
"Thought as much. He looks more like a grocer than a burglar." The other Dwarves laugh at this "As for Ms.Leafwalker-" he stops when he sees me "What is an elf doing here." Thorin growled
"This is Kaya the scout I've picked for the journey," Gandalf said
Thorin just turns and leaves to the dining room.
