"Please don't call my dad. He doesn't even want me alone with a boy. If he found out I skipped class with one, he'd never let me out of the house." Mo begs Principal Brenigan.
"This is your first infraction." He says. Mo nods.
"You are on the honor roll." He adds. Mo nods again.
"I won't call your father." He says after a moment, causing for Mo to let out a loud breath of relief.
"Thank you." She says happily.
"This time." Her smile slightly faded and he writes z her a detention slip.
"But if I ever catch you skipping class again . . ." He starts.
"You won't, I promise." She tells him before leaving.
