EPILOGUE

(eighth grade graduation)

I'm in my royal blue cap and gown, in the cafeteria getting ready to graduate middle school. I look around and see all my friends, some that I've known for 10 years, others 4, and others 2. The cafeteria is full of people with royal blue cap and gowns and smiles. The photographer asks everybody to get in a group picture. We're all lined up in one row, some people carrying other's, some hugging, and some holding their caps in their hands. I look around at all of them and I begin to feel excited, but weird. Some people I might not see again, which is weird because they were a part of my life, they'll just be a face I remember now. We take the picture and line up to get out of the cafeteria and into the gym. We're lined up outside the gym and some girls already begin to tear up. I go to Adri who is one of those girls.

A:we're graduating

I hug her and say as sincere as I can

L:I know it's happening, we'll see each other again. I know we will. I won't let not seeing you happen.

she says with a confused face and laughs as she wipes away tears

A:what?

I laugh with her

L:the point is we're all gonna see each other again

Dani, Jenna, Nathan, Adolfo, Mali, Sara, and Mika listen to what I said and start to become excited, then we all group hug

I put my arm up in the air and preach

L:now let's go graduate

Everyone cheers and we get back in our line. I talk to Mika who's behind me in the line. She puts on a smirk and spins me around. I find myself looking at my best friends, Krystal, Lauryn, and Ana. They all yell in excitement

A,L,K:Congrats!!!

My face shines with excitement just like there's, I pull them in a hug and say

L:hey oh my God you guys came

A:why wouldn't we, we love you

Lauryn:oh my gosh Lourdes plus 2 cm you're wearing make up

L:yeah this is the last time

Someone comes out from behind them, with their hands in their pockets, and his hair spiked up in a fancy way. This guy is wearing a tuxedo and the shirt I made him. Justin smiles and walks up closer

J:not of you're going to be going out with me

I smile and giggle. Lauryn and Ana separate and make a space for me to run up to Justin. We walk to each other and I jump on him. My legs and arms are around him, his hands on my waist supporting me. Both of us smiling. He let's me down and I say

L:well if that's what you want you'll have to find a new girlfriend.

J:that wouldn't be so hard, I already know who it'll be

L:really?

J:yeah, have I ever told you, you look like my next girlfriend

I smile down at his shirt and he lifts up my face with his hand.

J:I love you Lourdes

L:I love you Justin

His arms are around my waist and mine are around his neck. He pulls me closer to him and we kiss. Everyone woos and whistles. Some girls actually take pictures. Lauryn, Ana, and Krystal all say aww and sound all mushy. We pull away smiling. I look back at my best friends and lick my lips. Lauryn was being hugged by Austin, Krystal was holding hands with Adam, and Cody Simpson was kissing Ana's cheek. (I set up Cody and Ana around my birthday and now they're Cana) They look at us with happy faces then head inside. Justin and I are still there, holding and looking at each other.
