Louis: You stood on the edge of the bridge re-evaluating your situation. Were you really going to go through with this? Was all the pain really worth leaving the one person who ever showed you compassion? Your heart said no but your head said yes. And right now, what was going through your head overpowered your heart. You finally decided it was the right thing to do.

Now, some people might say you have an excellent life. You were dating Louis, the fans weren’t too mean and you had a pretty happy family life. No that wasn’t the cause of this. The cause of this whole ordeal was school. You hated school and it hated you. You were failing one of your most needed courses, the kids didn’t talk to you, the teachers wouldn’t help you… everything about school was awful and you just wanted to be finished. You couldn’t survive repeating a year, so why finish one you weren’t going to successfully finish it in the first place.

The water below invited you in with rapids that just seemed to be calling your name. It echoed, waving you in. This was it. One more step and you would be gone. It was so simple, yet so difficult. Such a simple thing could make Louis’ world fall apart. Now you were thinking that maybe this wasn’t the best idea. Just as you were having second thoughts, heard someone shouting your name in the background. You turned your head to see Louis running towards you, waving his hands in the air. You took a step back and faced your whole body just in time for his to clash into yours. His arms instantly wrapped around you and clutched you to his chest. He was crying, you could tell by the wetness in your hair.

“I couldn’t do it Lou,” you cried, muffled by his cotton t-shirt.

“Good! I don’t know what I’d do if you were gone! But what would make you think of this babe?” he asked, holding you by the shoulders at arm’s length.

“It’s not you I promise. It’s just school. I’m being pushed around by everybody, nobody talks to me, the teachers single me out, and I’m failing so I won’t be able to graduate this year!” you continued to cry out.

He pulled you back into his chest and let you cry it all out. All the stress you had been holding in was finally being released. You finally stopped crying and was now just sniffling in Louis’ arms.

“I’m sorry Lou, I should’ve come to you before resorting to this… God, I can’t explain how guilty I feel from putting you through this.”

“Hey, shh… It’s okay. I’m going to help you, okay? You have my word. It’s going to be okay,” he said just before placing a soft kiss on your lips.

“Thank you, so much,” you said.

“Come on, sweetheart, let’s go home yeah?” You nodded and took his hand. He pulled you in close to his side. Giving a kiss to your temple before starting the walk home.
