Chapter 38: The Potion Maker: Fabian

Huminga ako ng malalim at tumingin sa bubong ng tent. Hindi ako makatulog, hindi ako mapakali dahil wala akong maalala. Di ko maalala kung ano ang nangyari pagkatapos kong maglakad palayo sa kanila. Umupo ako at ginulo ang akong buhok, marinig kong nagsalita si Kaylie na nasa tabi ko.

"Hmmm. Ash" tumitig ako sa kanya at napangiti. Nagsasalita siya habang natutulog at hanggang sa panaginip ay sinusundan parin siya ng imahe ni Ash.

Dahan-dahan akong umalis sa pagkakaupo at lumabas ng tent. Uminat ako at sininghap ang malamig at presko na hangin. I looked at the sky full of stars, the sky was a combination of purple, blue and black. Ang ganda ng langit dito sa Vindea, It's like I'm staring directly at the galaxy.

"Why are you still awake?" I yelped in surprise. Akala ko ako lang ang andito sa labas andito rin pala si Aiden. His hair was messy and the bandages were still there.

"Saan ka galing? Di kita nakita kanina" sabi ko at umupo sa pirasong kahoy sa harap ng campfire, umupo siya sa tabi ko. "I patrolled the area making sure that nothing will attack us"

Tumango ako at tumingin sa apoy. The fire looked dangerous but felt warm, the swirling red and orange flames mesmerized me it reminded me of Aiden. His raging red hair, his dangerous eyes and how he was actually warm when you get to know him.

Biglang uminit ang mukha ko, hindi ngayon ang tamang oras para mag-isip ng ganon.

"Hey Aiden" sabi ko, he answered me with a simple 'hmm'

"Ano ba talaga ang nangyari? Why can't I remember anything?" tanong ko sa kanya. He avoided my gaze.

"Nothing. We just heard you scream and found you unconscious that's all"

"Where did you get those injuries?"

"I fell"

"You're not very good at lying Mr. Ryker" I said in a serious tone. I felt bad for no reason, He can't fully recover kasi naubusan na kami ng healing potion and it take longer for other wounds to heal.

Tiningnan niya ang mga mata ko, he was searching for something that I don't know about.

"For how long did you hold it in without telling us?" kumunot ang noo ko, confused at what he was asking.

"About what?"

"About your nightmares, about your feelings. About that girl." I froze. Mahigpit akong napahawak sa blanket na nakapalibot sakin. I started to hyperventilate at the thought.

she escaped? took over? ano ang ginawa niya? 

"W-what do you mean?" I asked him nervously "Paano niyo nalaman? What happned?! Aiden?!" I started to lose control and began to shake.

Paano niya nalaman ang tungkol kay Eris? Did she succeed in taking over me? Is that why I don't remember anything? many thoughts swarmed my mind.

Before I could react ay naramdaman ko ang yakap ni Aiden na pumalibot sakin. He hugged me like he never hugged me before. Tear started to fall

"Ano ba ang nangyari? Natatakot ako." I hugged him back getting all the strength I could get

"It's okay. The important thing is that you came back" I shook my head furiously and broke away from the hug

"No! hindi okay!" I cried out. Bumalik ang tingin ko sa bandages na nakapalibot sa kanya. I threw my hands across my mouth and began to sob "D-did I, did I do that to you?" I said under my breath
