CHAPTER 32: The Bigger Enemy

3RD PERSON'S POV

Nakatayo silang lahat, hindi makagalaw. Nananatiling nakatitig sa bagong dating, Lahat ng emosyon na naramdaman nila kanina ay nawala at napunta sa estranghero ang kanilang atensyon.

Mabilis na hinawakan ni Ela ang bag na naglalaman ng libro at dahan dahan naman siya inilagay ni Aiden sa kanyang likod upang harangan mula sa estranghero. Ngumisi ang estranghero habang sinusundan ng mga mata nito si Ela.  wala ni isa sa kanila ang gustong maulit ang nangyari sa kastilyo ng mga bampira.

"What? bat parang gulat na gulat kayo?" Ngisi ng lalaki. He was about 6ft tall with pale white skin, itim ang buhok at pati narin ang buong mata, his eyes were like black holes that will drown you in eternal darkness.

"Why are you doing this? What is your purpose? sino ang nagpadala sayo dito?" matapang na tanong ni Ela, her heart was beating fast and she broke into cold sweat.

The stranger tilted his head, it's as if he was amused that someone had the courage to ask him without being afraid of his throat being ripped out by the time he asked a question.

"The same reason why hyenas kill for fun, the same way monkeys kill to show dominance over the others. but to put it simply, to gain power." tinaas niyang mga kamay at tumawa, he started to walk slowly around the table, dragging his fingers along the dusty sheets of paper. 

"To rule, to reign, to be the most powerful and feared rulers in all of Vindea" tumigil siya at tumingin saamin isa-isa.

"Creating war between Vindora and Zaldea was the first step but your parents were so annoying they had to get themselves involved at ngayon, the higher ups needed to put the matters in their own hands."

"What? so kayo ang dahilan kung bakit naging masama si Doyle?" Gulat na tanong ni Blake. 

Si Doyle ang kapatid ng lolo nina Aiden na kinain ng kabaliwan. Nanirahan ito sa malaking mansyon kasama ang mga pinag-eeksperimentuhan nito.

 Ama rin ito ni Hilda na dating kasintahan ni Flame, na ama ni Aiden.

"It was easy manipulating his mind. Men are weak and are prone to falling into agony. The mad was a mad scientist! he had this thirst for power that he wanted to satisfy so we gave it to him" 

Lahat ay hindi makapaniwala sa sinabi ng lalaki, kung sino man ang nasa likod nito ay hindi na maituturing na tao. How could they destroy people's lives for their own satisfaction. They never thought na may mas malaking pang problema ang kanilang ikakaharap. 

It was  worse than the mad scientist of Zaldea. This time, the enemy that they are going to face is far, far more dangerous than anyone could have imagined.

"I hope that this stays between us" The man winked "But you wouldn't be alive to be able to tell anyone, better yet you won't be alive after this."

Aakmang aatake na ang lalaki nung pinigilan siya ni Ela

"Teka!" They all looked at her "kung kunin mo ang librong 'to, you have no guarantee that you will be able to read what inside of it. In fact, it's empty.  Why do you need  this book so much?"

"We can't." sagot ng lalaki. Nakahinga ng maluwag si Ela "But you will, and you will do it willingly, Eris." 

Pagkabanggit ng salitang iyon, Ela felt a sharp pain in her chest that made her clench it. Di siya makahinga ng maayos, Aiden looked at her worried asking her if she was alright but Ela's eyes were fixated on the man that was smiling. 

may alam ba siya?

 "Pagsinabi kong takbo, takbo. Isama mo si Elafris" Bulong ni Logan sa kanyang kapatid, they took that chance while the man was distracted by Ela.
