You mumbled the three words into his chest as you clung onto him, not wanting to let him go. “I’ll miss you too baby, but you have to let go now.” He whispered. “Don’t leave.” You choked out. “I’ll be back soon baby, you won’t even notice I’m gone.” You shake your head. “I’m gonna miss you like crazy and I hate you for it.” You say between sobs. “I hate you too Y/N.” “Bye Luke.” You say as you pull him in for a final hug. “I’ll miss you too baby, goodbye.” He mumbles, as he slowly makes his way from you, into the large sea of people waiting to board the plane.

"I miss you." He whispers softly, his voice quivering as his body begins to tremble slightly. The screen shakes with his trembling and eventually the sound of his sobbing cracks through the speaker. "Ashton…” Your voice wavers. Taking in a deep breath, you continue to speak. "I miss you too Ash, I miss you so fucking much and it’s killing me inside. But hey, school won’t last forever; I’ll be home before you know it." You can hear your voice quiver with every word. "Come home." He sobs. "I’m sorry babe," Your eyes shift towards the ground. "I can’t just come home now. Sorry, I’ll call you later Ash, i love you." You say, immediately disconnecting the call afterwards. Falling to the ground, sobs begin to shake through your body. "I wish I was with you," You whisper to yourself. "I wish I was beside you…”

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKEY!" You scream out as soon as his tired face and bubble-gum pink hair appear on your laptop screen. His low chuckle rumbles through your headphones. "Thanks baby, By any chance do you know what time it is here?" He says slowly. "Uh, no." You say sheepishly. "Idiot." He mutters. "You love me." You retaliate. "Unfortunately yes, that is true. I love you Y/N/L/N and I miss you terribly and it sucks that you can’t be here on my birthday." Your face falls. "I miss you too Mikey, but don’t be a party pooper on your own birthday. Be happy!" You exclaim. "I’d be happier if you were here." You fold your arms across your chest. "Now listen here Clifford, tonight you will have a fucking amazing time and you will love every fucking minute of it, don’t let me ruin your fun. You’re eighteen for crying out loud! Enjoy it!" A small smile tugs on the corner of his lips. "I guess you’re right baby," He says. "I love you." "I love you too Mikey, now, go enjoy the freedom which comes with being eighteen! But not too much fun, don’t do anything I wouldn’t-" "BYE Y/N!" He screams out and disconnects the call. "I’m in love with an idiot."

Your eyes were on your phone and your mind was somewhere else. You were just walking around town, completely oblivious to the world around you. It wasn’t a surprise when you felt yourself collide into someone else. “Sorry!” You both scream out. Looking up at the strangers face, your eyes widen. “Oh, hey Y/N.” Calum says quietly, a hint of sadness in his voice. “Hi Cal.” You reply softly. “How you been?” “Fine.” You respond flatly. After about a minute of silence he speaks up. “Look Y/N, I know I hurt you and it’s my entire fault but I-” You stop him before he gets any further. “Save it Calum. I’m not taking any of your bullshit. You broke up with me.” He sighs in frustration. “I know I broke up with you but I regret it. Letting you go was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, i’m an idiot.” “Hmm, yes, you are an idiot.” “Please just listen to me Y/N, I miss you. I miss you so fucking much. Please come back to me.” You shake your head softly. “I’m sorry Calum.” You whisper before you turn around and walk in the opposite direction. Tears trickle down your face as you walk away. His words keep ringing in your head. I miss you too.
