Back when we were small
we were told happily ever after came to the ones who were good and pure
helped everyone and were lucky enough to find someone rich to marry
but as we get older we realize that isnt the case
there are no witches and magic mirrors and poison apples to deal with to have happily ever after
The monster we have to fight are closer than we think
no matter how good and pure you are the world still treats us like shit
Castles arent over the horizon
we build them
stone by stone
with someone we love
we make happily ever after
And when it falls apart it feels like the end of the story
evil won
storybook closed and burned
but its not the case
we rebuild from the ashes
and rise
stronger than ever
With each time evil wins we stand up again
this time tougher and harder to beat
Not many can stand on their own which is why the princess needs a prince to save them
but the untold story comes from those
who stand tall and get knocked down
over and over again and doesnt give up
Even when it gets rough
The reason I am able to stand tall and build happily ever after
is because you gave me strength and showed me
We build Happily ever after together
stone by stone
smiling
until the palace is perfect
